DO THEY GO AWAY !!!!!!!!!!

when I first got them thay were quet a few at a time (i think i had 10 at one point) but then thay started getting fewer and fewer untill about 2 months ago thay all went away and i havent seen a sign of them since..is it possable that thay are gone for good or do thay always come back?

Okay, this BS on here about advocating that warts will definitely go away at some point is untrue. I have had warts for 8 years, had the laser, acid, Aldara, all that fun stuff and guess what, they came back and have not budged for years. I''''m 31, so I''m not "old" as far as my immunity being crippled to the point of not being able to fight back. Here''s some facts for those out there and I actually have had HPV.

Does anyone knows how it feels when the genital warts are going away??? I''ve only had sex with one person my husband and he never gets a break out but this is my first and they never hurt until now and I find little parts are falling off what does this mean?

I''ve had genital warts for about a year now, and I have had no treatment. Today I noticed that they disappeared. No traces left of them at all. Very strange, I'm still confused.

Although I realize that a website like this, where other people can share their HPV concerns is helpful in someways, it''s also pretty inaccurate. Everyone is bound to have a different experience with the virus, thus their responses will vary. The fact of the matter is that you may/may not have HPV. The only way to find out for sure is to go to a doctor. Worrying about it or pretending like you don't have it only waste time. I also understand the stigma of having to be tested for HPV or other STDs, but it's more than necessary these days. The waiting for the test results also stinks. BUT, if you want to make sure that you're going to be alright and that you don't go around spreading it to other people in your ignorance, then just do it. It is not a bad ordeal. Just take care of yourself. I went to my doctor, was treated, and they've never returned. I go for pap tests every six months to be sure there is no cervical cancer. I realize that this may not be the case for everyone. BUT...please stop reading about these things on the internet for a definite answer. You will panic, you will worry, and it's unnecessary. Believe me, HPV is certainly not the end of the world, if you take the necessary actions for treatment. Don't be ashamed.

Take care now.

Hey I just wanted to say that I have been with my husband for 11 years - I was his first sexual partner but I did have a previous sexual partner. 5 years into our relationship I had my first abnormal pap result, confirmed I had HPV and I had the abnormal cervical cells removed. I''''d never had any symptoms in my life and I know that my husband has always been faithful as have I. I know I must''ve contracted HPV prior to my relationship with him and this indicates to me that HPV can lie dormant for at least 5 years - it had never appeared on a previous pap smear...to add to matters, after I had the abnormal cells removed from my cervix, I got my 1st outbreak of genital warts...I was pregnant, maybe the hormones reduced my body''s immunity (who knows), this leads me to believe that warts can lie dormant in your system for at least 5 years also, either that or I''ve contracted it from a toilet seat :o)For the past 6 years at least once a year I''ll have a small outbreak...which the dr will freeze off...I''ve had enough of it, I''m going to see the dr and ask if there''s anything they can do/treat me with as it seems like my body will take forever to build up an immunity to the virus.

!

If you have HPV, there is no cure but if you are healthy (don''t smoke, do not use drugs, don't drink alot) excercise and eat right, it can go away in about 2 years or less if you are young. Warts can go away by themselves in about a month or two but it can vary with different people.

I''ve had genital warts for about a year now. I was on Aldara and it burned my skin. Now I am going to have Laser Surgery to have the warts removed. I am afraid they will never go away.

For someone to say the virus lasts forever is untrue... hpv is not like herpes or aids.. it does go away eventually.

hi everyone...

so I got genital warts. from my boyfriend who proposed to me and probably cheated on me...who needs days of our lives, i got the real Genital Warts happening here. anyway, but i first noticed it about a week ago..and since then they have multiplied. went to the doctor, got my first treatment...i promise you all, it was no big deal. i will have about 3 more and then they should be gone (at least for now). but i spent a lot of time last night doing research on this and trying to figure out how to do it myself...it''s not worth it. just go to the doctor. as a woman, many warts are hard to see as well as reach, on your own.

7/11/2006

!

I recently got genital warts from my husband who has had them for a long time. I am pregnant, and when I went to my DR, she said that they may go away on their own, but if not they can be removed. I had them for about three months and then they went away. My husbands also go away, but they can reappear. HPV is the same virus associated with genital herpes which I also have. Neither of these is really that big of a deal if you think of all the people that have it and the treatments to make the virus dormant. The biggest worry is the threat of cervical cancer caused by HPV. I also got that.

10/8/2003

Yes, they can go away on their own. However, one home remedy proven for some is apple cider vinegar. Cover the area for as long as you can with it and they go away in a couple of weeks.

I am 21 and have had only 2 partners in my life time, each girlfriends I dated for extended periods of time. I broke up with my ex-gf about 10 months ago, and life was great. Everything came crashing down when i noticed a bump on my penis about a month ago. The doctor told me it was HPV and like many of you, i felt like my life was over. My gf gave it to me, and i belive her when she says she did not know. If you have any symptoms you think could be HPV, get it checked out. Although it is not the end of the world, we all know how we felt when we first got the news, why put someone else in that horrible position? According to a recent survery, 75% of the population will have atleast one outbreak of HPV in their lives. Hopefully that statistic will help those who feel like they have lost it all. Take care

just a correction to some information found hereherpes and hpv are NOT the same virus. They are totally different conditions, caused by separate virus strains (Herpes = HSV1 or HSV2), and HPV/Genital Warts are presentations of the human papillomavirus, of which 20 or so strains present in the genitalia.

4/9/2004

It is not likely that the wart(s) will go away without treatment, it would most likely just get larger. However, in some cases, they do go away without treatment. The best thing for you to do is go to the doctor. Ask your doctor if Aldara (Imiquimod) cream is right for you.

YO!! sumbody please help me im really scared.

BUT i have a strange lesion on the head of my penis that wont go away. the doc said it could be from ''''ruff sex'' and that it will heal on its own but its been months and its still there. It dont hurt but its darker than the other skin around it and it looks moist. Just recently i noticed alot of tiny bumps on the very very back of my tongue and they dont hurt or nuthing but they''re there. Im really afraid that maybe all these symptoms kan be HPV even tho the doc said the thing on my penis didnt look like it but i kno sumtimes warts look diffrent and i kno you kan get them on ur tongue. Also i havent gave oral to any females so i dont kno how id have them on my tongue, but i did makeout with a female that had a bump on her tongue she klaimed wus a birthmark. So if you have any advice or anything to say please tell me id really appreciate sum input and maybe sum info on warts on the tongue. Thanx and god bless

There are a variety of treatments with differing success. Some people have sucess with treatments that others do not. Your doctor can help you in trying the options he sees fit.

I doubt the treatment will come with a guarantee that they won''t return. Warts will appear if your immune system isn't strong enough to repress them.

It is a virus. There is no cure. Once infected the virus will be with you always. Although a strong immune system and healthy lifestyle can keep the virus dormant.

Don''t be afraid of the treatment. My doctor was very refreshingly sympathetic and kind. Find a doctor that you feel comfortable with first. Then, discuss with him everything including your fears and treatment. I had mine removed with a laser and it really wasn't that bad. I had some discomfort afterwards, but then it was done. Just go to the doctor I'm afraid you are going to have to get used to a little loss of your dignity, and have someone look at it.

i basically diagnosed myself with hpv because my doc hasn''t given me a straight answer and HPV has never been shown in my pap tests, but about a year ago I had abnormal cells and started getting bumps about 4 months later. i have been in a relationship for over a year and have been faithful and i know they have been too, so i believe i've had the disease dormant in my body for years. i don't know why the doc never said anything but it sucks, and aldera works pretty well it just hurt me really bad so i had to stop and start again...its expensive too so i hope you have insurance! i really thought my life was over when i found my bumps but i realize how common it is now and I have hope that it does go away after about 2 years

1/4/2008

guys, they don''''t go away on there own. get treated. And another thing. HPV is a wierd virus, and the body can clear it especially young healthy people. Because it''s such a common virus it''s taken the CDC a while but look on there site and they''ll let you know, it''s not for life. So the people on here that say they''ve had outbreaks years apart got re exposed most likely. Get it treated and move on.

I actually got genital warts from my ex girlfriend. She has no signs at all and I have several bumps on my penis. I went to my doctor and he perscribed me to an Aldara cream and I used that for the 3 week duration. It seems like the warts went away, but once I ran out of the cream they came back. Now I am looking into the laser removal treatment. I''ve heard that they go away after time, but I've had them a little over three months and they show no signs of leaving on their own. So I'm not for sure if they do or not, I would say get the surgery as soon as you have the outbreak, it would be best. Everyone will probably get an STD in their life so it's not the end of the world. See your doctor and resolve it as soon as possible.

My first outbreak of warts was diagnosed a year or two after the girlfriend who likely gave them to me, and went away on their own after a few months. A smaller, briefer flare-up occurred about 13 years later and also went away. So far, three years after that, nothing.

Yes it does get treated by its self? Because what I did was pick on them until they are gone..then I wash the area with anti bacterial soap..

Genital warts do not go away on their own. Couple of months ago I got a small bump and thought it was nothing. I thought it would go away on it''s own. After a while it got bigger and bigger. I noticed a couple more tiny bumps and decided to go to the doctor. He told me they are warts. I actually got them removed today. It was a short procedure. The doctors can numb the areas for you if you want. I decided not to numb it since the doctor said it won't hurt. It did hurt a bit but it wasn't too bad. It's something you can get through. If you see anything that you might think is wart, go get it checked out. Because the bigger they get, the more it will hurt when you are getting them removed.

well, I dont know if it was genital warts i had but im sure it was cuz i had little coly flower looking bumps on the body of my penis not the head.i ad 3 in a buch and one kinda big one under the rim. i was embaresed and scared to say anything.about 1 week later i noticed 2 more coming.i was getting worried.being in a money hurting family i knew my parents couldnt afford me to get checked at the moment.about a month i noticed the little ones gone.3 more weeks the big one was gone.they went away by them selves. but im still going to get checked and see if its like a in my Genital Warts or like a sickness.all i know is the warts can go away by them selves.they did for me. but it doesnt mean the diseas or virus or whatever it is is gone and that you cant pass it on still.

12/16/2008

I got them from a boyfriend who didnt know he had them. He had no outward signs that he carried the virus. They were discusting and embarrassing. I was afraid to go for treatment and eventually (after about a year) they went away and have been gone for about 10 years. No problems since. I had about 10-15 dark colored warts a few on my labia, but mostly around the anus. I could have died and never told a soul, until I met my faithful partner of about 9 years and he has never had a problem. I still regret not going to the doctor, so I would suggest you seek medical help just in case.

I got warts and mulluscum...the dr. froze them off with the cryo...and prescribed Aldara cream while they heal...my genitals have red open sores and scabs... its been 2 weeks now...I hope this works...

I have had this issue for the past year... they get treated, they go away, they come back... the dr. said if you have a sex partner...you are probably just passing them back and forth to each other... so you are both going to have to abstain and go for treatment....

8/18/2009

Just a point of information, they now know that you don''''t have HPV forever. It is a virus but eventually your body will fight it off. Some people are completely virus free after as little as 2 years.

Hey, there''''s been some really good info on here so far and I don''t have much to add but I will tell you of my experience with them. I got about five of them when I first got pregnant, I got the Aldara creme, used it once, didn''t like that it took so long so I just picked them off. I had a miscarriage and that is the only warts I have ever had and that was 3 years ago. I also had displasia on my cervix. I don''t know if I still have it but I''ve had a few partners and none of them have ever shown symptoms.

I read every single post to this question and hope that NO ONE just reads this and does nothing but take this unprofessional advice. Im not saying that any one of these posts are wrong but if you seriously think you have warts you need to go to the doctor, get checked out, and dicuss the what the right thing to do for YOU is. everyone is differant and there are hundreds of strains of hpv. everyone differant in their own way.So why take the chance of them "going away on their own"????

9/17/2009

!

hello there! so I was diagnosed with hpv about a year ago and found out i had the genital warts kind. I was horrified and spent hours researching online whether or not genital warts goes away. I was never provided with a clear answer though. So finally I asked my doctor and she said that within 2 years if you''''re healthy and stay active, that your body tends to fight off the virus on its own. When i first found out i had it i had quite a few (probably 5 or 6) warts. Then the doctor did the acid treatment on them (which was NOT painful at all for me, just a bit itchy) and after that they never returned. It''s been 10 months now since my last breakout and as far i can tell, it has gone away completely.

3/4/2010

!

I have had gental warts for over a year now, and my dr said that for most people they will go away almost completely after 5 years (depending on the sevierness). To the guy that has never had sex but little bumps, my bf has those too. No that is not gw those little white pearl like bumps are little sweat glans they are not sexually transmitted but you will have them forever. You can have them surgically removed as well as gw. And to the other per son asked if you can scratch them off, yes you can do that as well, I personally do that in the shower it does hurt, I do not recomend that men do this as it is more painful, but I suggest that if you do have gw that you go to your local corner store like walgreens of target and get a wart freezing kit and personally freeze all of them off. Good luck everyone and be sure to wear a condom and get a yearly std check up!

3/1/2010

!

Well I''''ve had the warts for at least 2 years now. I''ve avoided going to the doctor(bad-I know). My boyfriend of over 2 years- has them also. He says I gave them to him, I say he gave them to me. Well he went to jail about 4 months ago, and since he has been gone-they slowly started to diminished and now are non existant. I told him what was going on with my vagina, and asked him if he still had his one wart... He said yes. He read that when women stop having sex, they are likely to disappear. Good news for me, my boyfriend will come home and see my wart-free vagina and know that I didn''t cheat on him while he was locked up. =)))

9/23/2009

!

you should just see a doctor and treat them as soon as you can. The longer you try to ignore them the worse it can get and can become un-treatable. If they are small they can just use an acid solution and burn them off, doesn''''t hurt terribly and is quick. Genital warts are really common so don''t be embarrassed and just talk to your doctor, they are there to help not judge.

Hey guys, I am a 45 yr old woman that has been married for almost 20 yrs. Have 2 healthy, beautiful boys (17 yrs. and 13 yrs.). I did a really dumb thing. I was not happy in my marriage sexually, so I had unprotected sex with two men....One is married with two children and the youngest child of his was not even 1 yr. old. The other was only 32 yrs old, not married, but has a girlfriend. The first 2 times I was with the 2nd younger guy we used protection. After that He assured me he was clean. He had all the signs. We had sex without a condom. About 2 mths later, I noticed little warts on my vaginal area (never, ever had that). Went to Dr. and they did tests and it was HPV. I was devistated. Never told my husband because he is such a great person and I didnt want to hurt him. Anyway, my Dr. acid them off (the ones she could see). Some went away but some stayed and some expanded. This was after 6 weeks of the first treatment. She acid all the other ones just last week and also took Genital Warts for HIV and white, red Genital Warts cells. I havent gotten the results. But just to know I could have gotten HIV really devastates me. I want know the results until Monday (12/14). Please pray for me. I''''ve always been careful until now, only because I was unhappy in marriage. Not worth it... Will let you know with results.....

ok for one warts can go away without treatment you just gota stop having sex. Trust me I got my wart from having sex with a guy and guess what he had a condom on so YES you can get a wart even if you use condoms because warts on men they can appear anywhere on the penis. I had mine almost 2 years ago and i went to the gyn they gave me this cream to use and i didnt use it all the time because i kept having sex and it fuking hurt that wart was putting me through hell. Now a year later that its gone this morning my fiance wakes up and walked out the bathroom in the bedroom and showed me what looked like to be a wart on his penis. First thing that came to mind CHEATER!!! but i did research it can fukin come back but i just got a exam 2 weeks ago i dont have one so guess what for all ladies out there if you take birth control pills and have unprotected sex u and ur partner can get it! Like wtf!! Birth control come on! And also u can get it from sharing towels or anything.. But i was fukin shocked birth control so check up on that caz its sum serious Genital Warts. But it takes a while to go away without treatment so becareful dont rub it, or scratch it or try and pick it for men out there because my fiance was dumb enough to do that and like he was bleeding all over and it could get worse. But dont always suspect ur mans cheating or woman but i woulda fukn killed my fiance lol

I''''ve read right through this and can confirm that the 1st step is to appraoch your local GUM clinic or GP who can then help you get over it. I got the wart virus by messing around with other guys despite having a beautiful wife & family so do think ahead guys & think with the top brain :(
The GUM clinic were amazing and sympathetic. Fully tested me 3 times for the lot! and I''ve had no warts now around my anus for over a year. My wife & I do use a condom for sex as it''s the least I can do & hopefully she''s okay? A healthy lifestyle WILL get rid of the virus after a couple of years so you MUST use protection. I still have a little discharge from my penis & until it stops I think it''s best to think I''ve still got the virus for my wifes sake.
So basically take 3 years off unprotected sex, eat lots of garlic (read up on it), cut down on drink & smoking etc. and all should be well eventually :)

I''''m 15 and I think I have HPV. I''ve had bumps but they never got any bigger or anything like that. Then about 2 weeks later, I realized they were gone. I say "I think" because I haven''t been to my Dr. for it yet. I have an appointment to go next month.
I''m also not sure, because I''m on birth control for the second time. I had an odd incident the first time with bumps appearing on my legs and hands. I don''t recall every checking my private area for them. So, I have no idea of what it could be yet. I was reading up on things to see if they could go away if it was HPV. This site has helped a little but I''m still going in and gettin checked out.

My partner and I both have genital warts. I had about 10 of them burned off at my docs office and was pleasantly pleased when they just fell right off. Then they just came right back. I''''m not going to get anymore treatments because they are expensive ($130 bucks!) Per treatment and the pain is literally unbearable and will leave you in tears. There is hope!

I had some warts for a full year in a small cluster on my penis. About 5 or 6 warts all together in one spot. I was a mental wreck, and thinking and worrying about them was constantly on my mind. I was depressed, and miserable.

I went to the doctor and got prescribed podophylox or something like that which was a acid gel. It wasn''''t very effective, burned and scabbed my Genital Warts, and due to my bad health insurance it cost $120 for a small bottle so I gave up on it. I was desperate and broke so I tried the apple cider vinegar cure. I went into it extremely skeptical, but I got to say it worked great. I wish my doctor just recommended that in the first place.

I soaked a cottonball in the apple cider vinegar, then taped it to the warts with a bandaid. Went to sleep with it on and took it off in the morning. It seemed to work just like the preion gel, but a lot less iratation and scabbing. the warts turned white, flaked off and I was left with flat pink skin where they used to be. I would do it for a week, then stop to let everything heal. They would come back after about 3 weeks but smaller and less "raised".

I think I did about 4 or 5 rounds of applying it once a day for a week. They were so small the 5 time that I just stopped using the vinegar completely. Over the next 3 or 4 months they went away completely by themselves and now the skin is clear and you can''t even tell there was anything there ever.

I have been clean and clear for almost two years now with no sign of anymore and the area they were in looks like it never happened.

Everyone should go see a doctor at

I soaked a cottonball in regular Heinz apple cider vinegar, then taped it to the warts with a bandaid. Went to sleep with it on and took it off in the morning. It seemed to work just like the preion gel, but a lot less irratation and scabbing. the warts turned white, flaked off and I was left with flat pink skin where they used to be. I would do it for a week, then stop to let everything heal. They would come back after about 3 weeks but smaller and less "raised".

I think I did about 4 or 5 rounds of applying it once a day for a week with a few weeks in between doing nothing. They were so small the 5th time that I just stopped using the vinegar completely. Over the next 3 or 4 months they went away completely by themselves and now the skin is clear and you can''t even tell there was anything there ever.

I have been clean and clear for almost two years now with no sign of any new ones developing and the area they were in looks like it never happened.

I recently discovered that I have HPV/genital warts. I had my first treatment last tuesday and am going this week on friday for another treatment. They put acid on each wart and those warts eventually fell off the next day. The acid does hurt somewhat, but not very much. It''''s just an uncomfortable feeling. Kinda like if you get razor burn or something...I HIGHLY recommend going to a dr asap! I waited and mine multiplied. Be smart & go get tested because this can lead to cancer! It did not make it to my cervix, thank god, but had I waited any longer, I may have gotten cancer. I was told to buy vagisil with benzocaine in it to help with the itching/discomfort. I think its about $4. I was also told to get the gardasil shot anyways because there are more than one kind of HPV.

Hope this helps! Be smart!

I used to have genital warts on my fingers, took awhile for them to go away. They eventually went away, but now the warts are on my Genital Warts :( 5 painful months later ive been applying 16% sacyllic acid to my Genital Warts and of all things it got worse, way worse. I went camping and a wart about 1 inch big appeared on my dig and I squeezed some yellow dense puss out....But hopefully my genital warts are at their peak, if not then FML!

Honestly, get help from a doctor. Save yourself a life of humiliation and pain, even if you think there''''s no way out. Your doctor is used to STI''s and wants to help you get rid of them. If you''re young, tell your mom or dad that you want to see a doctor, tell him or her that you have genital warts but you''re going to seek treatment. Do yourself a favour and see a god damn doctor!

I''''ve had 2-3 small warts on my foreskin for about 9 years now. I''ve tried Aldara, cryo-freezing, tea tree oil, thuya, lomatium...the whole nine yards. I burn them off, and they come right back. I''m 31, and an avid cyclist and yoga practitioner. I think some people are just lucky, and others (like me) not so much. I do have a lot of stress, so I think that is partly why it is hard to get rid of them. Good luck everyone!

Ive had genital warts for about a year and a half n they just kept multiplying...I just recently stopped smoking about 2 months ago n I noticed they got alot smaller, I also started taking vitamin e nd a Genital Warts load of vitamin c every day nd so far it''''s been working..hopefully they''ll go away completely soon!! Smoking defenitly makes them worse!! Since smoking basically lowers your immune system. Apple cider vinegar trick also worked but it hurt n it smelled horrible so I stopped that. Good luck.

Personally I tried to get rid of mine doing the apple cider vinegar thing. It didn''''t work for me at all. Just a whole lot of pain and no results. I finally went to the doctor and was prescribed Aldera. It is crazy expensive. My insurance wouldn''t cover it so it cost about $350 dollars for me. I had a very large outbreak due to my cluelessness of hpv. What ever you do don''t touch them. If you touch one and then touch another part of your genitals you will just spread it. I only had to use Aldera for about a month and a half. It cleared them up and it''s been a year now and they haven''t come back. The cream only irritated my skin when I used too much of it at a time or when it got on healthy skin too often.

I''ve also had one of the strands of hpv that causes cervical cancer. But when they did a biopsy of a piece of my cervix my body had already fought it off. My pap after that came back normal. So if you boost your immune system I believe our bodies can fight it off eventually. Just remember to stay healthy.

I''''m 16 and I just noticed a white bump near my genitals, and got the idea of genital warts. It''s on the crease between my leg and my genitals so I''m not sure if that''s the case? Wait it out a bit or have an awkward convo with my mom about my penis? Help?

There are over 100 strains of HPV, and its the HPV 6 or 11 strain that are visible on the genitalia region. They can go away on their own, its a matter of time it takes your body to build specific anti-bodies to defeat that particular strain. Once they are gone, they generally gone for good and your cured for that particular strain. You will know longer get warts, (that particular strain of HPV) and you will no longer be contagious to other partners. Its best to see a doctor to speed up that process.

If you have genital warts the best thing to do is see your doctor for a treatment that works for you.
I''''m facing them now using aldara hoping that this works. use condoms everyone! Take care.

genital warts is NOT the same virus as genital herpes. Genital warts are caused by a family of viruses called HPV. Herpes on the mouth is HSV-1 and on genitals is HSV-2. Not related to HPV at all aside from that they both are types of viruses.

I''''ve had genital warts for a little over a year now. It started with one and I ignored it because I thought it was nothing. Then another one grew by it and a few months later there were a few smaller ones. I went and hot tested and found out I had warts. I was so depressed and stressed about it. I then got the treatment where they put acid stuff on them and they seemed to be better for a while but didn''t go away. I''ve had 4 treatments now in the past few months And they''re still here. It''s expensive for me because I have no insurance right now so hopefully they start going away soon. I''m a 19 year old female and I take vitamins And stopped smoking a few weeks ago so maybe that will help:/

Hi,

As far as this question goes, I really don''''t believe that genital warts can go away without any treatment. I am sure that there are some cases out there that something like this can occur, but my best advice to you is to go to a doctor. I know when I first found out the last thing I wanted to do was tell my OB/GYN that this sort of thing happened to me it makes you feel embarrassed, ashamed and overall just super horrible. Even though it was tough telling doctors about this and having numerous people look at your privates in the long run it is so worth it because you can just get it over with and not have to see/feel it every day just waiting for them to be gone.

I first found out I had genital warts from my boyfriend who did not know he had them. I got them treated through many different ways. Aldara (which had not worked for me), a burning acidic treatment (which also was unsuccessful) and finally through cryotherapy (freezing them off which was successful!). Honestly it wasn''t that painful either, definitely not the most comforting thing in the world, but so worth it in the end. After that treatment I was wart-free for over two years. Just this week I had felt a few very tiny ones and I was pretty devastated since I thought I would never have to go through this experience again. Although I am still upset I realize that this is just a bump in the road and that I should be thankful that this isn''t fatal, its treatable, not everyone can tell you have it, and if you just go to the doctor things can get fixed. I hope that in a few weeks from now I will have the cryotherapy treatment again and be able to forget about these annoying things for another 2+ years, hopefully more!

I know this is such a hard thing to go through because you really wonder how something like this has happened to you. A comforting thought is you aren''t alone and that millions of other people are going through this everyday. I can only hope that with advances in medicine occurring daily that us HPV sufferers will soon have a quick, easy and painless way to treat these symptoms.

I wish everyone the best of luck with this, and from my experiences there is an end in sight!

Well basically people, sometimes genital warts can go away for a certain
period of time,and it can
will come back but
if you ejaculate most of your life some of the infection can rubb off on your hand as you touch your penis/penal area, and as you touch other people/things it could possibly 30/50 percent chance that your genital warts was rubbed off on another person or thing,u have to be in the
early stages of it though, like 1-17days

Response to: I am in early teens and havent had sex yet, but I have bumps on my penis,is it possible for them to occur without sexual contact??

If you have not had sexual contact then the bumps you have are completely normal. If they are on the skin of your penis then they are simply just in grown hairs and they will cause no harm. If there are white bumps around the head of your penis, this usually means you are uncircumsized and it is a condition known as pearly penis papuals. Again this will cause no harm and the papuals may come and go. If you have bumps any other place than these two, you may want to get a doctor''''s opinion

Hi everyone,i am 20 years of age and I have noticed a couple of bumps in the past few weeks, i have been so scared about this i often find myself lost in my own mind thinking about them, i cant even focus at work.. i tried looking at pictures of what they look like to see if i have them and i thought wow this is not what this is, due to a large bump on the inside of my penis and reading forums and checking sites for information i have finally decided to go get tested..unfortunately this feels like my life is about to be over but after reading your comments i am much more at ease about it. i just wanted to say thank you to everyone who has the courage to share such personal information. anyways i hope you all wish me luck in this ordeal as i wish you all the same.

Hi I have had three treatments since last year November but it seems like they are not going a way. The doctor used Laser, the warts are in my urinary duct, anyone who had them there before who can recommend treatment.

It is said that the body can fight off the virus naturally. Usually up to 3 months. How ever, if you break the skin of the wart you risk the wart spreading out further. It''''s all about our immune system. Some people can hold off the warts, but still have HPV. Others can completely fight it off and be cured. While unfortunate ones have it spread all over and have a grotesque genital area. The best thing to do is get the wart(s) removed. Wait about 3-6 months before being sexually active again, and dont be a fool, wrap your tool.
