Question:

My partner was diagnosed with the virus and has also shown symptoms, however the symptoms have not shown up for almost a year. There is a high probability that I may also have it, my question is whether or not a dormant and likely suppressed virus (in me) can be reactivated by having sex with her on a regular basis. Also, I have not had any symptoms?

If you and your partner are infected with the same type of HPV virus, having sex with her won''t make a difference to weather or not you might show symptoms. This is not saying that you will never show symptoms, it's just that some people have one outbreak and never have another, others may never have an outbreak or it may take years for the first outbreak to develop. I would suggest that you keep healthy and if your immune system is strong you may never have an outbreak. If you smoke, quit.
