What about allegations by Dr.Glickman that beta-mannan can cure HPV?

I used the beta mannan, and it claimed to eliminate that it would eliminate the hpv in three months, I took a pap smear and a digene hpv lab test at three months and the beta mannan did not clear the virus, I still had it, however I was cleared of the hpv virus, according to the digene lab test and my pap smear, after six months of using the product. My digene lab test came back clear. The nurse said she had never seen anybody beat the hpv high risk virus. I was the first she had seen. A few notes tho, I used gloves when inserting the two capsules internally, and a new pair each time. You can get this hpv virus under your nails and spread it, so use disposable gloves. I also did not smoke and did not have any carcinogenic co factor and I had no other infections, so my immune system was fighting the hpv infection only. I also did not get reinfected, my partner and I broke up over this viral infection, and a new girl he was seeing, which still makes me upset because I really loved him and wanted to marry him. We were both wanting to get married. The good news, according to my pap smear and the digene high risk hpv lab test is that I am now clear. I think the beta mannan definately helped me clear the virus, and I think that perhaps, and I say perhaps because I really do not know for sure, that the beta mannan boost the cox-1 factor in my mucus membranes and increased my immune system capabilities. If I had the virus in my nasal sinus area I think I would have taken 400 mg of celebrex twice a day to control/supress the cox-2, and 6 capsules of beta mannan, two vaginally and 4 orally, to boost cox-1. I am no scientist, but I think this celebrex clears hpv polyps in the sinus when men (and women) have infected there sinuses through oral sex. HPV 16 can be spread to the sinuses and many people think they have allergies, they dont, they have hpv. HPV 16 and hpv 18 are dangerous cancer causing viruses, I would never spead it to any body, it can be beaten, you just have to work at it. It took me six months. Anomnous

When you have undergone the scare of HPV testing along with an abnormal pap smear, I think it''s worth TRYING something to help you suppress the virus into a dormant state so that you can continue with your life. No, this is not a cure, it purely states that HPV testing came back negative for those who took the product. I believe it can put the virus into dormant state and I will sacrifice the cost and 6mths to be successful at doing that. So, all you ney sayers, you're right, it isn't a CURE, it doesn't give you the green light to do as you want sexually, but what it can give people is some hope.

I wish this was cure for HPV but like others have said there is no cure. It seems kinda funny that the only web site promoting beta-mannan is one with his smiling face on it. I was 16 when I got HPV and now I''m 26 looking at the rest of my life. Cancer? I'm scared and I wish I had listened to my Mom when she said no sex before marriage. I wish Dr. Glickman, I wish.

I took the treatment for 3 mths dilligently, I waited 2mths to retake the pap smear with HPV test. I was clear of the virus and my pap came back normal. I am a FIRM believer of this treatment option and it has made my life normal again. Prior to this, I had a conal biopsy procedure done and 2 previous pap tests..I was desperate for a solution and tried this treatment option as a last resort. I have seen alot of questions regarding this and haven''t personally heard of anyone claiming success.
Some would advise 'if it sounds too good to be true, then it probably is'. His claim to have a 'cure-all' is at best suspcious.

every health care doctor and clinic ive asked has told me quite forecefully that there is no cure as yet on the market for hpv. that other person who claims to have been cleared seems like a fraud to me but thats just my opinion. I hope people get as much info and second, third or fourth opinions when considering remarks like this. trust me on one thing if there was a cure for a disease as ramped and as easily contagious sexually as hpv the pharmacy companies would have been alover it and the stock of that company would have sky rocketed- heard any such news lately? i havent and im always on the look out. essense magazine ran an article about hpv a few months ago check it out be informed be wise and tke care of yourselves body and mind

I am a believer also. I had HPV and had to be leep-coned. I got online to research this virus and came across Dr. Glickmans site. With nothing to lose, I ordered it, took it, and my next test was completely clear. It works!!!

Some people really should read a bit more. Your bodies immune system can cure a virus, as in get rid of it forever, not just make it dormant. There is no *drug/pill* that can clear a virus similar to the way an antibiotic can clear bacteria, but that does not mean that you can''t take and do things that will help your body do it on its own. Don't take my word for it, keep researching, just keep an open mind too. AIDS is special by the way, as it attacks the immune system, which keeps the immune system from killing it. Kind of a "best defense is a good offense" style of self preservance.

out of all the things I''ve read on this web page I've only heard one thing about beta-mannan and if you go on other web pages, non of the doctors recommend it.. so I wouldn't trust it.. it's pretty cheap though

When I found out that I had HPV in college, I went through the "wait and see" approach with my doctor. I couldn''t believe that the only option was to keep cutting pieces out of my body. My body healed on its own after 6 months and I had a clear PAP test. My doctor told me that I would have this for the rest of my life and I have accepted that. 3 years ago, I broke out in genital warts (my boyfriend was having extra curricular relations with someone else). I couldn't believe this was happening to me again. I went to see my doctor and all he could offer was freezing and some kind of topical acid. I decided to look for options myself. I came across the website on Beta-Mannan. At that point, anything seemed better than what my doctor proposed, so I purchased Beta-Mannan and within 2 weeks of following the instructions, the warts went away and the dysplatia on my cervix was gone. My doctor couldn't believe that I was the same person going to see him for the follow up. What surprised me is that as a doctor, he wasn't pressing me for more information on the product. As you can imagine, I don't use him for my medical needs at this time. I have since told my other friends who have HPV about what happened to me and this product. I don't expect to "cure" myself, but I do plan to manage the symptoms and my well being so that I don't have to succomb to surgeries and potential infertility. I don't know if it works for everyone, but I know what it did for me and I'm thankful for it. Since Guardasil does nothing for those already infected, this is the next option for me personally. I am a college graduate with a successful, professional career. So while it may seem strange to trust the communications on a Blog board, I would hope that any woman who is/has gone through the same experience as myself would at least try the product - what's the worst thing that could happen?

This is bullGenital Warts. There are a bunch of people who say HPV can be cure but this is a virus, Viruses do not go away. How does this beta mannan work with your immune system if HIV also supress your immune system but no one has found a cure and way more serious than HPV. And if its true why is it that no one knows about it, not the government, not others doctors and the person who made up this web site, plz believe if this was true it will spread around the same way this virus does. So this is bullshit.

I am an RN, and I have HPV. I was diagnosed with CIN II dysplasia (moderate risk), and underwent 2 LEEP CONE biopsies. I have to go for an ECC (endo-cervical curettage) every 3 months as a result of this infection. I also had normal pap smears while actively infected with this virus. Please, please , please don''t think that because your pap smear is normal, the HPV is gone. This is NOT TRUE! You can still be infected with HPV and have a normal pap smear. You MUST get a separate HPV test (digene is the best) in order to determine if the virus is still active. With that said, you will not be cured of this virus. It can go into a dormant state, but you will not "rid your body" of it. I have a degree in biology and nursing science, so please trust me on this one. Your best treatment for the moderate and high risk infections is LEEP-CONE, monogamy, condoms, a healthy immune system, and not smoking. You will also have to be very dilligent about getting your HPV and pap smears as scheduled by your physician. It can be managed and controlled, but you will not be cured of the virus. HPV by definition and name is a VIRUS. Viruses cannot be cured or killed however, bacteria can. Pick up a biology book and read the info as why. Bacteria have cell walls which can be broken and destroyed. Viruses are not living cells and have no cell walls until they enter your healthy cells, uses the mitochandria, cell energy and multiply. This process makes YOUR cells abnormal. Too many of a certain type can become cancerous. Thus, HPV cannot be cured as of yet because we humans have not found out how to get rid of a virus without killing our own cells. HPV can be cleared, meaning it is in remmission but will always be in your body. That means they can freeze your cells, warts and remove it. Once all of them removed, then you will be ok for a while. The only fighter of virus is OUR OWN IMMUNE SYSTEM. Our T-Cells can enter the cell and fight it off. Thus, they say sometimes our own immune system may fight of the HPV. When you are clearned you can have sex without infecting another but it can reapear, thus if you had it, got better thanks to your immune system or removal of it with surgery, then you can have sex. However, must get retested every year to watch out for it. It could cause cancer.

Also, wanted to add to what I mentioned above about difference of bacteria and virus and cells walls and that.
STRESS can help bring about what may be under control with your immune system. Why? Because your immune system may be able to constantly fight off the virus and all the different viruses that we inhale, digest or pick up every day. However, when under durress and stressssss... your body is taking resources, energy, AWAY from your immune system thus is gets weak and cannot fight off the viruses it normally does. Illness is an indication that you are in stress. There is a phenomenon called the Placebo effect or selffullfilling prophecy. That is if you belive it works, it will. May not be long term though. Thus, if you believe a pill will make you feel better, it will. RELAXING is the key. It will cure even cancer if you belive strongly and if you get peace rather than neverousness. So, belive it, use it and relax.....

Several people asked why is it no one knows about this ''cure' if it works so well. Others have said that HPV is a virus and cannot be cured. Logically and scientifically you might be correct however you must remember that the medical and pharmacutical business is just that a business. I used Beta-mannan for plantar warts, caused by HPV. After using it intra-oral and topically with vaseline and the power mixed on a bandaid, my warts disappeared in about a two week time. I used it twice a day for about four months. This is very intriguing to me considering I have a degree in microbiology and told that virus'''' are next to impossible to kill in most cases.

I took the beta-mannan and after 22 1/2 months my digene hpv lab tests and my pap smear came back negative, and it has been 7 years since then, and I am still clear of the virus and still have no detectable hpv virus as tested by the digene hpv lab test and my pap smears. I also firmly believe men and women should be getting vaccinated against the hpv virus with the Gardasil hpv vaccine by Merck. The vaccine works and it protection last for about two years. In regards to the allegation below that "relaxation" will cure cancer and HPV, that is ridiculous. Too many people think yoga and relaxation will cure you, I have watched several people die from cancer useing this "relaxation" therapy bull Genital Warts. Additionally, it is not the governments job to advertise beta mannan or gardasil, for that matter, and stop expecting your doctor to be God. Take some responsibility for your life, your actions, your choices and do the research. And lastly, if you are infected, than stop getting reinfected by your partner(s). Research documents reinfection by any virus will make it difficult, if not impossible, to clear the virus. I attribute beta-mannan for supporting and boosting my immune system and the negative digene tests and the negative pap smears.

I also swear by Dr. Glickman''''s Betamannin. I won''t go into heavy details, but I was diagnosed with hpv the kind that causes cervical cancer. I had displasia and they burned it out..... i began taking Betamannin for 1 year.... as instructed. Several pills a day. I SWEAR TO YOU, 8 YEARS LATER I DO NOT HAVE HPV.

I am very upset that no one seems to take note of a harmless virus known as the adeno associated virus type 2 that plays a critical role in terminating the HPV virus as well as cervical, breast, prostate and squamous cell cancers in SIX DAYS.
