Question:

Hello, I have had three genital warts surgically removed about a month ago. I still cannot have sex as it is extremely painful in one area and it actually blisters if something rubs against it. Is this normal? How long will it take before these symptoms will go away?

hi I have had this and i also had this problem it took almost 6 months before i could have normal sex he would have to be real carefull cuz if he hit it wrong i would bleed and it would hurt so the main thing is no sexual contact at all for the first three months and then slowly get back into it it takes a while to heel all the way

Its normal after any sugery for the spot to be sore and tender for a few weeks after. If it lasts longer then 2-3 weeks go back for a folow up and talk to your doctor. Keep avoiding sex untill you are fully healed because any open sore can lead to spreading it to your partner or yourself catching other STD''s. An open sore is the most fast way to catch and spread an STD

Yes this is possible. You had three warts removed and I''m assuming with TCA or some other chemical. Don't worry so much. My OB/GYN, is a great person and he informed me that the acid will go pretty deep destoying tissue. This can be uncomfortable I'm sure but hang in there. You can use vaseline, polysporin or neosporin. This will help ease the pain and help in healing. Try warm sitz baths too. I've have mine removed and tried this and it really works.

Good Luck and Be Well and Don't get Down!!!!
