Question:
I need to know what does it look like in general . I think I might have the disease. i''m scared i might kill my self?
|
GO SEE A DOCTOR, FIND OUT WHAT IT REALLY IS, DON''T EVEN THINK ABOUT KILLING YOURSELF, NOTHING IS WORTH TAKING YOUR LIFE. IF YOU DO HAVE HPV IT'S NOT AS BAS AS IT SEEMS TO BE, YOU NEED TO JUST LEARN MORE ABOUT THIS. YOU CAN STILL HAVE A NORMAL LIFE. THERE ARE MANY DIFFERENT TYPES OF HPV(ABOUT 70), AND MOST PEOPLE HAVE ONE OR MORE TYPES ABOUT 50-75 PERCENT OF THE POPULATION, MOST DON'T EVEN KNOW IF. HERE ARE SOME SITES I HOPE WILL HELP YOU, BUT MAKE SURE YOU SEE A DOCTOR, AND PLEASE DON'T TAKE YOUR LIFE.

if you do have hpv, it is not the end of the world! believe me I just got diagnosed yesterday and i was mortified to find out i have an std. but after reading up on the info. i realized it will not destroy my life...only if i let it. you can live with this there is no need to take your own life...but i have certainly felt that way too!! you are not alone on that level but as i said if you do have it, it is not the end of the world and you can live your life pretty normally after you have found out. Please don''t freak out about this!!! I know its scary but if you actually do some research you find out that so many people have it. Its practically normal. If you have warts, you can get them removed and in time if you stay healthy your body can supress the virus.

I have HPV/warts - my doctor told me that up to *90%* of sexually active people get the virus at some time in their lives the only difference is that some of us have weaker immune systems than others and that allows it to manifest itself physically. Also, the same doc told me that people generally only get one or two outbreaks in their entire life - hardly a big thing. Get ''em burned off or use a cream, but then realize that *almost everyone* has this thing in one form or another, and there's nothing to be scared or ashamed of!

I have HPV and my life rules!!! At first I was scared, but then I realized that it was a good thing. Good to have HPV??? The truth is that HPV is a hell of a lot better than HIV or Herpes.
Sometimes you need a wake up call to say, "Hey...stop doin chicks without a condom."

I was diagnosed 10 years ago (when I was a freshman in college) and felt that my life was over. If anything, I think going through this has made me stronger. I did the acid thing to get rid of the external warts and did the cryosurgery thing to get rid of the precancerous cells internally and have only had 1 or 2 abnormal pap smears in that time. It will be okay. I have tons of friends with HPV and even Herpes and you know, life goes on, and you deal with it. Good luck! Be strong. Breath!

I''ll tell you I was mortified as well when I found out. I had only been with 2 people, one of which I am married to now. Unfortunately I think that there is so much fear because it is not something that is talked about, however if you look at the statistics...there are so many people with it. There are still times when I feel concious, but you just must realize that unfortunatly these things happen and if you have learned anything from it or improved yourself as many do though changing their lifestyles to be more healthy than maybe it isn't so bad.

do not be frightened and, more importantly, do not do yourself any harm inform yourself, relax and do what you can do ... http://www.niaid.nih.gov/factsheets/stdhpv.htm
