Question:

My boyfriend of 1 year has found a bump on his penis and was told by a dermatologist that it was a wart. Two weeks prior I had a pap smear and was told everything was fine. Should I go back again and ask them to take a better look? My boyfriend is being treated, so I would hate to make it worse if he got it from me. ?

I have the same question, except I was tested because I am pregnant and the doctor said I was ok, but now i am finding bumps and im scared they might be warts? Is that possible?

you can''t make it worse if he got it from you. yes, go back to Dr and tell him you want HPV test, digene II test. don't trust pap smear for this issue. it misses 25-30 % of hpv abnormal indications on cervix

Yes, If I was you I would go back a second time it was told to me that it could be years are months for you to know you have it. So protect yourself.

Some take a while to show. I would suggest going back. It would be a shame if your boyfriend was cured and you thought you were clean, and then have him catch it once more. You should be checked once more to make sure.

pap smears do not check for HPV. The strain that causes genital warts is not the same one that would cause changes in your cervix( which is the one paps test for)
