Question:
IS IT TRUE THAT MEN ARE LESS LIKELY TO EXHIBIT SYMPTOMS OF HPV/GENITAL WARTS? AND IF SO, WHY IS THAT?
|
I do NOT understand why WOMEN like myself get all the bull crap. I mean We BARE the children, labour them, and so on and so on.. not to mention our monthly VISITOR. Men DO get the Warts, but 80% of the male population just carries and spreads the disease. Not to mention that CONDOMS do NOT protect you from HPV. All it takes is Skink-2-Skin contact. 4 out 5 women in America have this rotten disease. It puts me on the Pap Table 52 times a year. I got the Infamous cancer strain, and if I had gotten the wart strain that would have been cruel. Thank god I didnt. I believe I would rather endure the Cancer than the warts... After 14 lapriscopies and 4 Leeps and Hysterectomy.. I am the epitomy of HPV.. One of the biggest Victims... Now after HELL and back I am symptom free.. ATLAST!

This is true, for whatever reason, you have to remember though in men we have constant air contact and stay more dry than a women, women are moist down there allowing the virus to spread more easily and devolping.

Genital warts perfer moist places to grow, they also group up in skin creases and folds. The penis is not as moist as the vagina so it''s harder for the warts to grow. Also in most cases warts on the penis can not be viewed by the naked eye.

I believe this may be because you may not contract warts with all strains of the virus. There are several strains of HPV out there, that attribute to genital warts and/or cervical dysplasia. So it would seem like if you do not have a strain that causes warts, then you might not exhibit symptoms for a long period of time.

I just think it may have to do with how they are biult. Women are more prone to get STD''s far easier then men. Women are more moist and creat a favorable environment for virus/bacteria STD's

My partner had NO VISIBLE SIGNS of the virus and passed them on to me and I DO HAVE VISIBLE SIGNS. But I smoked cigarettes (he didn''t), and I heard that that causes them to grow.

i wouldn''t say they are less likely to exhibit symptoms.. but it's more difficult to detect if you go for testing, where as females you can see cell changes right away.

yes that is true from what I have read, partly because warts grow better in moist areas easier than dry areas, but the virus still lives on both, hormones may also play a role
