Question:

I''ve read that once your body has built resistance to a virus, due to proper nutrition, you're no longer contagious. Does this mean HPV won't be transmitted if there aren't any visible symptoms?

EVERY STD on the MARKET from here to CHINA is transmitable regardless of the symptoms.. ALWAYS CONTAGIOUS! ALWAYS! Do NOT forget THAT!

Well, it could be possible, but there isn''t exactly a correct or incorrect answer to this question. HPV is a virus and usually, cannot be cured. No known tests are being administered to men to diagnose HPV since it has not been shown as a threat to males. However, HPV is a known threat to women because women have an increase suceptibility to cervical cancer. It isn't known whether someone can become immune or not HPV cannot be cured with antibiotics because it is a virus. Also, it is possible to infect others with HPV even if you are not having symptoms, or symptoms go away. To be on the safe side, always ask your partner for his/her history. And always use condoms. It's better to be safe than sorry.

I''d say it's less likely. I don't think you'll find a for sure answer on this.

With HPV there are several strains of the virus, so it is possible that you can become immune to one strain and never be able to contract that strain again. However, you can still contract one of the other hundreds of strains out there, and still have no symptoms of it. That is why so many people don''t know that they are infected with HPV.

just because you don''t have visible symptoms (ie: actual warts) doesn't mean you you don't have hpv. you can still possibly infect others. also it takes awhile to build resistance.

You can still transmit the virus.

The answer is hpv can always be transmitted. 80% of women by the time they are 60 will have had one form of hpv. There are so many out there and 30 of them are sexually transmitted. Millions of people have hpv and will never have a symptom. If you had an outbreak you know your a carrier but I don''t know if it is any more risky for them to have sex with you after your immune system has suppressed for so long or with another stranger who has hpv, that never had any symptoms.
