Question:

Can genital warts be popped, because I have small bumps on my scrotum and shaft that when pressed discharge and firm string of white like popping a pimple, also I have small white dots on my lips that have no texture unless i try to pop them, could this be a sign of warts. What are some symptoms of mild HPV. because pictures on the web seem a bit extreme and look like warts that have been untreated. Is there anywhere to look for an extensive image gallery. thanks?

Female here with same thing kind of. Mine are very small, flesh colored bumps. A few had white heads but couldnt be pooped and almost looked like really thick hard pimples. I took tweezers and nail clippers (extremely desperate and crazy) and gently tore the skin open and squeezed and white stuff came out. i dont know hwat i have because none of the pictures look like what i have. i must say though its refreshing to read that millions have this. ive only had 3 partners (im 22) and having this does a number to your self esteem. i feel this has ruined my life because i can never be intimate with someone again. i just bought aldara off the internet for $122.00 and i pray this works. the Genital Wartsnature warts no more DOES NOT WORK. it burns and itches and made me sick to my tummy. also do not try getting one of those pumice stones to like scGenital Warts them off because i tried that and it spread to the other .. lip . .as i onlt had it on one side kinda. so do not try scraping them off. and i think tearing them off with the tweezers and nail clippers made it spread a little too. I hope to GOD this aldara works. I want a husband and family someday. : (

I have the same problem. They appear as blackheads (after not treating wart for a long time) and when squeezed out, it''s fleshy and solid, like the dried pus. It leaves a hole on the skin after. Is this from the wart or something else. It appears to be warts that have changed appears...or maybe i'm wrong. Any thoughts?

I''ve had HPV for about 15 years now. I know more than the doctors do. Back when I first contracted HPV the idiot doctors (I saw 5) had no idea what it was. I'll try to answer some of the questions here.

There are over 100 strains of HPV. I suspect the number is really larger. These viruses mutate like you would not believe. So any one solution or symptom listed above may or may not apply to you. Research how viruses in general operate and you'll have a better understanding of how to fight it.

Years ago I researched how viruses work and what the body does naturally to protect itself from viruses. Your body is designed to do battle with viruses. That's why your body produces red Genital Warts cells. I have found throughout the years that when warts appear is when your body is not fighting effectively and your immune system is down or caught unprepared. The first time warts appear is because they are new to your body and your system is caught unawares. The very first thing you need to do is eat healthy. Yes, you need to start shopping at your local health food store and learn everything you can about nutrition. If you see the presence of warts, you need to take pantothenic acid orally. It is a vitamin B supplement and stimulates your natural production of red blood cells. I researched and figured this out years before I found a medical study that actually supported this wart treatment. It just makes common sense.

Warts No More DOES work for me. It usually makes my warts disappear in 2-3 days when my system needs that extra help. Again, it probably all depends on the type of strain you have. But I highly recommend giving it a try. It can be very effective.

Yes, some warts can be popped kind of like pimples. Again, the mutation thing is going on. Don't let anyone (even doctors) tell you it is just a pimple. You know your body better than anyone, you judge for yourself and do the research. Some of my warts have reacted in this manner and then disappeared.

In my experiences, doctors have some of the largest intellectual egos which really prevent them from thinking critically and doing research. It is much easier for them to shrug stuff off and use quick fixes. I even had one doctor burn off my warts and then tell me I was cured. Idiot. Use my recommendations first, Pantothenic Acid and Warts No More are organic and natural aids in the battle against HPV. In my experience, they are also the most effective.

I got small little white cluster of bumps on my lip after kissing a guy. Doctors thinks I have untreatable fordcye. Fordcye is not suppose to be contagious but my immune system must of been low and caught it because I was fine until 2weeks after I kissed him and he had the tiny little bumps on his lips. I could see them when his lips were stretched. Now my condition has spread on my girly area and in my mouth under my eyes. This sucks. I think the only cure is prayer but that has not worked yet either.

I was diagnosed with condyloma warts about 2 months ago. See I had my gallbladder removed in April so I had gone 2 months without shaving. Only because after surgery I could not move much due to the pain I was in in. SO finally I decided to shave. after I was donr I felt so irritated, I took a mirror and peaked. I ewas so freaked out a 2 am I took myself to the ER thing it was a freaking rash. Yeah right. The hell I have been through since I was diagnosed. My Boyfriend of 3 years shows no sysmtoms. Lucky him huh. None of my x admit to having gw. So whatever I haven''''t had sex in 2 months it is driving me nuts. I am so paranoid to give it to my bf. He has been so understanding of the situation.

Oh yeah let me say for treatment since I have no insurance I have been going to the health dept. All I told my seld is I want this shyt off of me...I dod not even ask for any other tretment of if treatment hurts. Worst pain other than my gallbladder surgery have I endured. The first session my rectal region hurt so bad. the size of a nickle on each side burned off over 30 mini warts compiled together. Discustin? So since I had shaved the night I was diagnosed by the time it was time for my second session I had2 on each side of my labia one 2 my grown, another just above my clitoris/pelvic. My second session was even worse pain I figured since they were not compiled it wouldnt hurt. BS I was in so much pain I had to drink 2 percasets to relieve the pain. I hate it. I dont want to go back and get them burned off. If I could of gotten another tratment just as effective and less painfull I would have.

Mean while I have been taking multi vitamin, vitamin c, vitami e, folic acid and eating somewhat healthy lots off veggies. To help my immune system.

This sucks Bf and I were trying to get prego. Im not getting any younger! Im 26 and id like to have a family. Menawhile I feel horrible for him I am even afraid to perform oral even though i have no signs off warts in my mouth. This HPV virus has really messed with my head and it sucks...

So far I have had no other outbreaks however I think I may have 4 or 7 near my vulva. Suxs I have to wait 3 weeks b4 I see the dtr again.

HEy does anyone know once diagnosed with a strain if you can still be vacinated to prevent infection of another strain?

First of all, coming from a nurse (me), do NOT listen to anyone on here, go to your doctor and find out for yourself! That is the best and ONLY advise you should ever take. A doctor has the medical knowlegde to properly diagnose you as well as offer you many treatment options (if necessary) which in return you can choose from. Seek medical attention ASAP and never think twice to do so. That is why us health care professionals are here. To help.

You may want to research HERPES, not genital warts. Herpes have a white, small shape. Genital warts are more cauliflower-like in shape.

!

If they are small, and white, with some that have hair growing from the top, these are simply hair folecules. They produce a ''chicken-skin' like appearence to the entire scrotum, and slightly up the shaft.
Don't try to force out the folecule (the hard bit), you will only hurt yourself.

Sometimes on the scrotum you will find a whiter spot, and when squeezed will discharge a thread of white.
Its just like a blackhead guys. Don't panic.
You need to appreciate how hot and oily it gets down there!!

Next, you may have slightly larger white, hard spots on the shaft. Some appear to have a blackhead top, and occasionally you get a few bigger ones. If you leave them for a while and then squeeze them they will release white stuff, like puss, but not in explosive quantities.
After a while this will come back.
Often there is NO need for worry. At a young age your glands are far too over-reactive, and will produce too much oil and sebum.
You may have had these things for ages (years) and may have only just started worrying.
As here on the net it is dificult to describe each symptom, a doctors advice is invaluable, and I would urge you to see one if you are concerned.
It is easy to get scared when something is on your genitals.....
Think about it....if it were on your hand etc. you woud not be as concerned.

And for those who are worried about seeing a doctor, believe me, they don't care what you show them! You are just another patient out of a hundred each week. They are hardly going to talk about your parts to their friends! (they wouldn't have many if they did!)

DONT BE SCARED TO SEE SOMEONE IF YOU ARE WORRIED!

Warts spread and grow rapidly. If you''ve been seeing this for a while I'd say its pretty unlikely.

What you may be seeing could be folliculitus, pearly penile papules or sebaceous prominence.

First, the moron who thinks he or she knows more about HPV than the doctors should realize that the body doesn''t make red Genital Warts cells to fight infection but rather to carry oxygen. WHITE blood cells (leukocytes) are active in immune response. Nutrition may help somewhat in replenishing the body's ability to fight infection, but it will do nothing for warts. Some take care of themselves, most require medication, NONE CAN BE POPPED, as the blackheads aren't a "root" and the liquid that may come out if the body's natural non-specific defense. The wart tissue itself all contains the virus, so nothing short of cutting the wart off will make it go away by physical manipulation. Medicines are often effective in treatment, but they cannot CURE genital warts.
HPV is serious, as some forms can lead to cervical cancer. The virus interferes with the cellular processes that limit cell reproduction, causing tumors. HPV should be examined by a doctor immediately. Certain types of HPV cause genital warts and other lesions, but the virus usually causes no symptoms. Most people with a genital HPV infection do not know they are infected. I hope this helps, but you should always see a doctor if you are unsure. Anyone who says otherwise has a personal vendetta of some sort against the medical profession. And while it may be true that many doctors have large egos, all doctors are knowledgeable. That's why it takes 11 more years after college. Good luck!

Don''t listen to any of these people. Most of them can't even spell. Go see a doctor. If he/she can't give you a definite answer, go to another one until you find out what is wrong. I'm telling you this because I'm going through the same thing right now. I went to the health department-they laughed at me. I went to my doctor-he said I had swollen glands and that our bodies just change as we get older. No one knows your body better than you do. So if you find something there that wasn't there before, it's probably something you don't want and you need to find out exactly what it is. This forum is best used as a support group for other questions such as "how do I build a relationship now?" Bottom line: If something is wrong with your body, get it diagnosed and get treated. You will feel a lot better when you don't have to deal with the uncertainty of what's going on any more.

Genital Warts cannot be popped PERIOD. I just went to my doctor and that is what I was told. I would get checked anyway.

A few years ago, I had these same symptoms. My doctor told me that it was molluscum contagiosum. This is a virus passed by skin to skin contact, through clothing shared by a person infected, or even through the swimming pool in children. As a STD it is most commonly found on the inner thighs and buttocks because these areas rub together and also come into contact with partners during sex. I did not have them removed because my doctor said I did not need to. Instead, and I probably shouldn''t have done this, I squeezed the bump off and got the hard white core out of the middle. The area would then bleed and I applied pressure with toilet paper to the area. Then I washed the area with anti-bacterial soap and washed my hands really good. The areas cleared up. This virus may also clear up by itself but because it is a virus you will always carry it and if symptoms are present may pass it on to someone else. As far as I know, it does not infect inner areas of the body and is not related to cancer. I would recommend talking to your doctor about it and doing your own research.

no genital symptoms at all but I have what appear as VERY tiny, almost inscrutable, white, micropustules that cluster together on the inner edge of my lips ....mostly bottom lip, and mostly the outer edge of bottom lip. they cluster together and they can be squeezed out/popped, as you mentioned. they have no texture, like you mentioned, unless you squeeze them with tweezers or something, in which case they hurt and swell and bleed, but only for a little bit. my lips are constantly dry, and require chapstick almost every five minutes or they shrivel up and scab over. i am not dehydrated, i drink water all the time and i take vitamin B and omega fatty acid supplements, but my lips remain chapped and i have no explanation for the white things, but they seem related. I am trying neosporin, and i am on oral antibiotics for acne, so if it''s bacterial, i'm guessing it will be going away soon. No pictures of what i have are on the internet and trust me i've looked. they don't erupt on their own when left alone, so i should probably just leave them alone. anyone have this?

12/11/2004

!

Your symptoms sound like Herpes which has blisters and lesions that are white and dot like. Warts do not pop and only appear white if acidic acid is put on them at a doctors office. I have both the HPV and Herpes virus and find that they are distinctly different. I''ve been happily married for 12 years now, with 2 kids and neither virus plays a big part in my life, due to the fact I know the difference between symptoms and seek treatment. Go to a doctor for peace of mind and proper treatment.

I was recently diagnosed with Low-Risk HPV. I started seeing doctors because the warts were showing up. Doctors are important, they need to be treated with medical attention, HOwwwwWEeeeeVER....the first gyno COMPLETELY wasted my time. The FIRST doctor: I even told him my X I dated for years had it, and showed him warts, and he said they are absolutely nothing to worry about, probably just from shaving down there. What a FREAKIN IDIOT!!! And he was an older (should be more experienced) white dude.

The SECOND doctor: Young black woman, I was expecting another guy, but hey that works (I''m white, not that you care). She looked at them and immediately assessed them as easily recognizable HPV warts. (Note: Not all HPV results in warts.) Anyways, she gave me an option of doing a biopsy for lab results to tell me EXACTLY what I had with no worries it was something different, and it gives extra info - I'd recommend this. By doing this she was able to tell me the type of HPV I had was "Low-Risk" (doesn't cause cervical cancer), however it had gotten into my skin as a "Level 3". btw - I've had the warts show up only about 3 months now and me and the X who had it broke up 3 years ago (so that shows how long it can take to show up b/c I haven't gotten laid in that freakin long, sad I know)!!! Back to the "Level 3" - every wart I have (about 7) has to be surgically removed because there is a really high chance of "Skin" cancer (versus the typicaly cervical cancer you hear about)....so watch out for that too.

Yeah, docs are important, they can also be IDIOTS if you go to the wrong one. Don't trust what they say. I learned that many times in the past when my mom who had a history of cancer (previously cleared) because crippled over a short 3 month period and stupid docs kept saying it was arthritis for the next several months. FINALLY the idiots decided to check for cancer as she asked them to do several times, and cancer allllll through her spinal cord and very soon thereafter spread everywhere else, and she is gone now. YES, IDIOT ASS DOCTORS, however, we need them, we can't fix things ourselves...and I can't call them all idiots because they got rid of her cancer the first time. Sometimes, the docs can't find everything for you. If you know something is wrong and they aren't worried about it, GO SOMEWHERE ELSE, even if it is several different places - take a RECOMMENDED doctor!!! RESEARCH THAT Genital Warts!!!!

Next - I've seen molluscum contagiosum also...the same X that had HPV had that also, but I never got it (or at least it never showed). Neither the HPV warts or the molluscum contagiosum really looked like pimples that could be popped, but I'm not denying it isn't possible. My friend w/ herpes said hers can be small and pimple like, often not visible, and she gets an outbreak about once a year (and she treats it) - fyi.

Extra context --- If you want to know what I look like, I'm mid-20's very attractive engineer, and I've had sex with 8 guys, 6 of them were my bf's, and the other 2 I dated for at least 2 months. This crap can happen to anybody.

Any questions, I'm getting the surgery this week, just call me "HPV-engineer" if you wanna repost w/ any questions..........

ok people it''s pretty simple.

look at the pictures. pictures on this site or in a google search type 'sebaceous prominence' or 'pearly penile pauples'.

if you have the tiny teeny wee bumps in the edge of your penis head then they are PPP (pearly penile pauples) and really nothing to worry about. I have a few, we all do. if you really hate their appearance there is laser surgery.

if you have the larger strange under skin bumps around your shaft and balls, some with hair growing out, some occasionally producing puss, you have sebaceous prominence. again this is not harmful but, to many, unsightly and confidence destroying.

i am 25, i have sebaceous prominence and i hate it more than i can begin to describe. it may well deny me being with the most stunning woman i have ever seen. some1 tell me why i should have to put up with that?

i am not alone in my feelings on the topic and am frankly disgusted at the way we are told to just live with them. they cause extreme distress to many and this warrants some investigation into the removal or calming of them.

doctors and surgeons must understand the issue of self confidence and psychological well being so i want any1 with information about sebaceous prom . treatment to email me and i also want to start a petition of guys who want to see a treatment.

email me with knowledge or just a email a signature to: ppmurray25@hotmail.com

Regarding the person who "has had HPV for 15 years" it''s your white Genital Warts cells, which are produced from bone marrow, that fight off infection. Red blood cells carry oxygen throughout your body.

i have just recently been diagnosed with HPV. The warts are tiny and kinda come in a cluster. I don''t have many, but it was enough to freak me out. At first, I thought maybe it razor burn, or a reaction from a really bad yeast infection. I went to the doc. and she said it was hpv. IF YOU THINK YOU HAVE IT HPV/WARTS YOU NEED TO GO TO THE DOC. ASAP. IF NOT TREATED IT COULD GET WORSE AND SPREAD & THEN AGAIN IT COULD GO AWAY. BUT WARTS ARE ALSO KNOWN TO LEAD TO CERVICAL CANCER. IT'S NOT SOMETHING TO PLAY AROUND WITH. GET HELP!! Oh and to answer the question...mine could not be popped. but if i tore the skin on one it burned really bad. also not a good idea. if you pop it or scratch it the infection in that cell is let out and can spread to other areas.

all these are entirely normal. ive slept with over 30 girls, and the white bumps that have a white discharge on my shaft and scrotum do not get in the way of love making. girls are want to accept you for who you are. they realise no one is perfect, and you can know this occurence is harmless, so stress less!

Just to give you my $0.02 Anyone reading this that has symptons that they are not sure about.
Go to your local std clinic. These people deal with this daily will be frank and treat you even without insurance such as in my case. This didn''t help my anxiety related to this at first but going in getting treated (freezing) seeing them going away is starting to help. Don't be scared or ashamed and if you are just suck it up and go get treated. Talk to your sex partner(s) about it You will feel better in the long run. Good Luck,

I recently noticed what I am 99% sure is hpv condyloma around my anus. I''m a 21 year old straight guy who's only had unprotected sex with 4 women (5 women all-together). A cluster of warts developed which I'm not going to begin to try to "pop" because I know it's impossible. The only thing keeping me sane is knowing that over 70% of people the ages 15 to 49 have hpv in one form or another.

I also have cysts on my scrotum that aren't too noticeable because most of them are small... the ones left anyway, I would use a pin to penetrate the skin and squeeze out what looked like a mini-testicle full of white concentrated oil. F-ing discusting but what can I do?

9/6/2004

!

you may have warts but it may be something benign that a lot of people have naturally: women tend to have "fordyce spots" on their vaginal lips and men have "pearly penile papules". You shouldn''t pop these they are just part of your body's sebaceous (oil) glands. you can look these up yourself, but this website was helpful for me and it's worth checking out - http://dermnetnz.org/viral/genital-warts.html.

Hey guys. I''m a 19yo male who has sebaceous prominences (SP) and pearly penile papules (PPP) since early teen years. I know how hard it is for all suffers because i have been through exactly the same. I strongly urge everyone to consult a doctor.

SP are harmless white lumps on the shaft of the penis caused by excess oil in the sebaceous glands. They are harmless and can't be transmitted. PPP are generally found on the rim of the head of the penis. The are generally uniformily arranged. These too are harmless.

I have been trying some home remedies and over the counter products to help remove them. Acne creams for the SP seem to help lessen them. I have also heard that toothpaste helps for PPP.

If anyone knows any over the counter products that help, please post the details. And to all suffers, hang in there fellas. It's not the end of the world. In fact SP and PPP can provide extra stimulation for women during intercourse!! Don't put your life on hold just because of a few small bumps.

I honestly urge you to see a doctor.
I had this same thing almost two years ago. But I had them near my anus. It was like hard white puss.
After 4 doctors, three of them told me they were warts. I am still being treated, because everyone is different.
My fiancee has never had symptoms and still to this day doesn''t have any symptoms. But I know I got it from him.
I recently discovered that I contracted the virus on the inside of my bottom lip.
The best thing you can do is see a doctor.
The internet always makes you think its worse then it really is.

Could be Molluscum:

This is most likely molluscum contagiosum. Babies get it sometimes, and it can also can be spread through sexual contact. Relax. It will go away in time. Try Retin-A

No! They can not be popped. They will go away by cream or have to be removed by your doctor.

this sounds like herpes simplex
try looking on some herpes sites. If you have had cold sores then you have come in contact with the virus. Now if it is simplex I or II ask your doctor.

I''m not a guy but for women the hpv bumps are the same color as the skin around it normally. That's only if the women has only the type that causes bumps. If she has a higher risk strand the bumps will itch and she can get whiter bumps in certai parts of the vagina but they can't be popped unless it pops itself or you use a razor. But if it is genital warts by popping them you will spread the infection.

10/30/2006

!

Anything popped is a pimple, not a wart, the lesions on the lips or inside the mouth arent warts, they are just something like sup spots, they arent a wart, believe me

12/8/2003

hey man I had the exact same thing as you did, except for the lips, and i thought for sure they were warts, but when i went to the dermatologist he said they were some other thing with an ''m' name like molliscum or somthin, the bad news is it is an STD, but the good news is they can cure it, like he froze mine. and once there gone there gone for good and you cant spread them to anyone else. hope this calms your nerves.

12/28/2004

!

i just recently found out I have genital warts. i saw what appear to be an extra piece of skin by the bikini are and decided to visit the dermatologist, he inspected the area and told me i had genital warts. before then i have never heard about genital warts or cared, but now it''s like my selfesteem has ped to the floor. the best thing i would recomend to anyone that see abnoral signes of anything on your body, is to consult a doctor so they can diagnose the problem and get treatment. also to all those who don't have issue with std's, please start thinking about yourself and putting yourself first before pleasure because at the end of the day you really cant prevent what someone won't tell you they have or in some cases don't even know they have. if you are with a partner, get tested together, if the second party refuse, then you refuse him or her.your body is a temple and it's ashame that it takes a std for most of us to realize that.

To the young folks that want to go to the doctor but are having trouble working it out with their parents (understandably without saying "I think I have genital warts and need to go to the Doc):

Do a Google and see if there is a free health care clinic in your neighborhood.

Or try talking to a school nurse (if you have one).

Finally, you can always call a doctor and ask how much they charge if you don''t have insurance (assming you don't want to use your Mom's insurance). Sometimes they have reduced rates.

I've got some bumps and it's been a hard road figuring out what they arestill working on it. I'm seeing a Dermatolist now (instead of my regular doc) who I think is better. You might try a Dermatolist.

It's tough, but I'm glad I went to get help.

Good luck.

this is exactly the same thing that is going on with me, it actually sounds like sebaceuos prominence but could actually be a mild form of HPV, I''ve lived with SP for a good part of my life and now I am beginning to think that I may have HPV from a random sexual encounter that I had at a very young age and may have been misdiagnosed... doctors have had a hard time trying to tell me exactly what it is that I have and I am now starting to develop signs of penile cancer after about 14 years of living with this... I would suggest getting a biopsy done if you want to know for sure, which is the road that I am heading down now... good luck

I''m a virgin female with flesh colored bumps on the skin just above my clit, on the inside of the outter lips. They never hurt, but I know they shouldn't be there because I've never seen them on someone else before. They can't be clogged hair pores since hair doesn't grow in that area. Sometimes they get white and if I squeeze them, a strand of thick white comes out. Its not puss because its not liquid, its hard but soft at the same time. I've had these in that same area since I was 11 years old. It started off as simply 2 bumps and now theres alot of them, they rise off the skin but are smooth to the touch. I've asked around and found out that it is impossible to catch an STD if you're a virgin. Even if you masturbate, you still can not catch an STD if you're a virgin. So I'm guessing that this is simply some kind of skin issue, probably related to acne in some way. I've washed down there and tried using antibacterial soaps but they never go away, just the whiteness does, but the bumps remain. Sometimes I freak out about it but really its not that bad because you can live with them if they don't hurt. I'm only 15 so theres no way in hell I'm going to ask my parents to take my to a doctor to get them checked out. They would only suspect that I'm not a virgin when I actually am. I wish I could find pictures on the web of what I and millions of others claim to have but so far there are none that match. This sucks but at least we know its not an STD if you're a virgin.

they really do sound more like sebaceous prominence and/or pearly penile pauples, but on the shaft/scrotum really sounds like sebaceous prominece...if so its just overactive or very visible oil and lubricant producing glands to make it so that your penis is not dry and cracked...though they are normal glands and the docs tell everyone that they are "normal" they are unsightly as hell and have impeded my own sex life at least to some degree my whole life...i am currently in the process of trying to find anything that would help them go away...acne treatments that contain drying agents have been suggested and I think that i will try this...popping them is not really a good idea as the will def come back...i hope the knowledge that its no sort of std relieves you, however i know it didnt relieve me seeing as now i know that i will have to live with this condition my whole life...anyways i have no answer for the lips question...and warts can def not be popped...hope this helps best of luck

This isn''t really an answer to your question, but my ex-boyfriend had the same thing I think. Small round bumps on his testicals and going up the shaft. I asked him about them and he said they were ingrown hairs due to shaving. This was a week or two after I found out he cheated on me. He found he could pop them sometimes, almost like a zit, and a tin line of stuff almost like a when you pop a pimple came out, but it was 'thicker' or denser I guess. I found out he has hpv, so I think that is a symptom. I wish I knew though, because I don't know if I have it

I agree with you on the extreme pictures. By reading everyones answers I am getting really nervous.I am going to the doctor tomorrow and hopefully she will say that nothing is wrong with me. I only had sex with one person that I think might have genital warts after being checked out, but now that I have been looking for information on herpes and genital warts I have symptoms of herpes. I only have one bump on the inside lip of the vagina and I did pop it. It hurt and itched and three days later it is slowly dissappearing. Any comforting words to me before the doctor??

Have you looked at the gallerys under Pictures of Genital Warts > Pearly Penile papules - and other bumps (not HPV related but commonly confused with) > and look at both pictures, the bottom one can also occour on your scrotum, and search google for pearly penile in the image section if you want to see more clearer photos.

this sounds like herpes simplex
try looking on some herpes sites. If you have had cold sores then you have come in contact with the virus. Now if it is simplex I or II ask you doctor.

i have been diagnosed w/ both hpv and molluscum, which I think might be what you have. molluscum are round like pimples, like whiteheads, really, but unlike whiteheads, their "contents" are very hard. therefore, they often won''t go away on their own you can have molluscum "pimples" for lack of a better word (sorry!) for years potentially unless you have a doctor pop them properly. but all they do is squeeze out the contents fully. hpv, on the other hand, from what i know of it (and there are 100s of strains of the genital type of the virus) looks like skin tags, or they say even cauliflower if it gets bad. hope that's of help! also, so there isn't so much stigma, molluscum is most easily spread through sexual contact, however, my dr. told me that sometimes even little kids have it. (hopefully they weren't abused!) but so it is thought that perhaps it can be passed also in hot tubs, bath tubs, and other means aside from sexual contact. molluscum as far as i know has no negative consequences for long term health, and is barely noticeable so it isn't even that unsightly.

I have them on my penis too, and I''ve had them since I was a virgin so I wouldn't worry about. As far as the ones on your lips - I've had them on the edge of my lips so my guess is that they're just small zits. Can't help you with the gallery question.

Yup - I agree with a few other people - sounds like Molluscum Contagiousum. Not "harmful" very contagious and you can auto-infect, so don''t touch it and then touch another part of your body. Go see a dermatologist.

90% of the time this condition is usually just pimples, yes, you can get them anywhere. The other 9% of the time are ingrown hairs. Here''s a tip to all those with this, squish 'em and wash thoroughly at least once a day and they'll never come back. :P

Ok number one, go to the doctor! all I had to do was put a preion cream on it at night and it went away. Number two, dont feel bad. lots of people have it and its not going to ruin your life, went i first found out i had it I was really depressed and didn''t feel sexy for a long time after.. what a waste of time! you are still sexy and beautiful and people will still want you! just be careful and honest with your partners so they dont have to go through the same feelings! and use condom!!!!!!!! forever! just because you have one std doesn't mean you can't get anymore. and dont trust guys, they prob have never been checked anyways! go to your doc to get checked out once a year, ask to be tested for all std's. Its better to know so you don't hurt someone you love! Ive had it for a few years now and its just something im aware of but def. does not control my life anymore. its just a virus. nobody can tell by looking at you on the street, besides half of them have it too! :)
love yourself!

Most people have this pimple-like symptoms. it is common amongst Afro-Caribean and Black skin types. This is because of the coarse hair texture. The condition is known as folliculitis (see the following link: http://dermnetnz.org/acne/folliculitis.html
It is a perfectly normal condition and it''s caused by the bacteria, Staph Aureus, which is present in the nose, genitals and other body areas. It is also due to the presence of this bacteria that women are often adviced when using Tampons to be cautious of having the Toxic Shock syndrom (TSS).
I'm afro-carribean and have the same problem. I discovered that applying the ointment 'Fucidin' really helps to reduce the pimple-like symptoms. My doctor prescribed this for me, and adviced me it's really nothing to worry about. I must say that I had this condition for years, before actually having the courage to tell my doctor about it. And since using fucidin, I've not really had to worry about it. I apply the ointment liberally a few days per month, this helps to eradicate or perhaps reduce the Staph Aureus.
My advice to all who have this, is not to worry, you're erfectly normal and healthy.
Sometimes issues concerning or genitals bother us so much. the reason is because it's a very private affair and not very many people talk about it. If more people spoke more openly about worries about their genitals, we would find that most of these conditions are common, and more importantly, VERY NORMAL.
Another advice to help improve this forum, and for useful statistics, is for people to state their origin. You can do so and still remain anonymous.

PROCEED AT YOUR OWN RISK!
I Dont Want no little biatches crying like BUSTER *** BABIES, because they hurt themselves with the treatment, and cant follow directions.

HERE IT GOES WHAT you ALL BEEN WAITING FOR IN QUOTES:

"I have tried a whole different remedy with great success. I am 26 have been diagnosed with PPP. I have had them since age 15 and they have spread and multiplied over the years. Fed up with what I once thought were genital warts, I recently tried an old folk wart-remedy and applied average over-the-counter iodine and ya know what? IT WORKS!!!! now before you get all excited, i must state that it took me almost 2 months of religious application 2 times a day. i would fully saturate the affected circumference of my penishead and let the iodine soak into the skin until it dried out and would stain the bumps a reddish-orange color.....i would repeat this process twice then i would wait about 10 minutes and then rub the area gently with a cotton swab soaked in alcohol. You see, iodine is a mild poison that destroys skin cells and the alcohol breaks down the iodine and effectively dries the skin out - apparently PPP does not like dry conditions. By creating a constant cycle of tissue destruction/regeneration you will experience light scabs that peel off by themselves (DO NOT PEEL WITH YOUR FINGERS, LET THEM FALL OFF IN THE SHOWER!) and each time the skin sheds, the bumps will get smaller. I am pleased to report that they have completely disappeared!!! If you want to try this then here are a few tips and warnings
1. Shower first and use mild non-chemical soap to gently cleanse the area. I use Dr. Bronner''s all-natural soaps. Lavender works very well as an antiseptic and skin moisturizer/soother..the baby mild aloe is also very kind to sensitive skin...both are HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! You can buy these soaps at your local health food stores and organic pharmacies..for more info go to:

2. Get iodine with at least 50% alcohol content to avoid overdosing the skin. Apply it only to the bumps themselves and let a nice layer of it sit on the area until dry. Once it has evaporated, apply again and wait 10 minutes before you rub out thoroughly but gently with alcohol-soaked cotton swabs. It will burn a little at first but after the 1st and 2nd treatments you wont feel anything.

NOTE: For those uncircumsized like me, be sure to keep your foreskin pulled back for a while after you apply this treatment. You certainly dont want to let the iodine to become absorbed by the healthy skin that covers your glans (penis head). I usually wait 15 additional minutes after the alcohol rub before letting my foreskin relax. In general it is good practice to keep foreskin pulled back as often as possible to create the ideal dry condition. Despite all precautions, you may experience a mild irritation on your foreskin. if this happens, apply a very light layer of the iodine on it and then rub off with alcohol once it dries. You must do this to prevent the spread of PPP (because it spreads to damaged skin that is unsanitized) To accelerate the healing process, you may apply Neosporin or the oily filling of regular Vitamin E gel capsules

3. During the scabbing cycle, the skin will become hard and leathery. DO NOT pick at it or touch it. It is also very unwise to masturbate or have sex during this stage as you can split the scab open and cause delay with healing time. You can discontinue the treatment at any time to monitor your progress or just to get your rocks off. Once in a while I would get real antsy and HAVE to wack off so I would lay off the treatment for a week and wait for the new skin to grow out then spank the ol monkey a few times before another shower and iodine treatment. Never Jerk off without showering afterwards since accumulated semen and smegma do not help this condition

4. This treatment works best with the bumps that line the circumference of the penis head. I also happen to have those nasty sebacious bumps on m

The best thing to do is get checked by a professional. I''ve had HPV for two years and when I first got checked I had to tell my mom because I am on her insurance plan. I know my mom is open to a lot of things and is a nurse so she understands. It isn't the end of the world of you have HPV, it is treatable and in two years, I have only had 2 breakouts, both within a few months of when I was first diagnosed. I got some topical medication from the doctor that hurt my like hell but it cleared up all of my symptoms within a month and I've been clear ever since.

7/24/2006

warts can not be popped. In extreme cases "high risk" warts will puss on ther own. What it sounds like to me is a skin condition easily treated. How ever I agree with the nurse on this site seeking medical attention right away is always the right option. For you however you should look under dermatology sites, because it sounds as if you have white-heads(there is a tecnical name for them but it''s long and I always forget) they have to be lanced(pierced with a needle) and then slight presure to squeeze out a small rubbery textured substance that is very tiny. Yes you can get them any where there are skin. Call a local estetisian and describe the ones on your face only!!! If she tells you the same thing I just did make an apointment to have the one on your lip removed by lancing. Then you will know how to take care of the other ones yourself. If they really are tiny white bumps you are worrying for nothing your pores are clogged. When popped properly a tiny tiny hole will be left and the skin will be flush again. They can appear in clusters but that term I use lightly because they need to be popped one at a time you can have one ramdom, or in extreme cases a bunch in the same location. But take another look because I'm quessing no two bumps are actually touching, because our pores aren't set up that way. good luck I hope I am right. - Technologist

more than likely those are sebaceous glands. Have you had them for a while? If so, then they are sebaceous glands, which are related to hair follicles. Warts have a tendency to forms bumps in clusters.

i got genital warts from a chick, I also have the white dots on my inner lip, my lips stay a little dry, its a texture cause i can feel them with my tongue, i also discovered i may be alergic to peanuts, i eat a like a handful every now n then but sometimes they burn my lips n they feel a little swollen, i get this feeling slightly at times but i guess peanut oil could be in alot of stuff, im not convinced the warts have anything to do with my lips but i guess its possible, i did eat the girl out, and ppl quit posting dumb stuff bout hair. anyone with common sence can identify a hair folical. a wart can be removed with acid but youd best only touch it to the wart, touching the skin will make a big wound and you will scar, i took a que tip and touched muriatic acid to the wart, within a second it turned white, IMMEDIATLY i took some baking soda mixed with water to neutralize the acid, the wart wiped away, i healed with a slight scar, then another grew about 2 years later on the oposite side of the shaft. i havent got around to removing it yet, i contracted this 10 years ago so its a slow process

genital warts can''t be popped!!! there are other things that can such as herpies or other infections that develop in bumps. that best way to know is by visiting your doctor. with virus there is a chance that it will mutate into a futher stage into the disease. what you have might not be bad...but not getting treatment for it might be worst.

GO TO THE GODDAMNED DOCTOR, ALL OF YOU (who haven''t done so yet)!

You will drive yourself crazy speculating and guessing what it is you have! It may be NOTHING, it may be serious. Get off the internet and go see a doctor!!! AND DON'T BE ASHAMED. Getting and STD doesn't mean you'll never have sex again or that someone won't love you, if you have sex even once, you have the chance of getting an STD. It's the way it works! If you don't ever want an STD, don't ever have sex. It's that simple. Otherwise, grow up and realize that with sex there are inherent risks. Now go see a doctor!!!!

I''m seeing all kinds of stats...this is what I wanna know, and unit numbers mean nothing, I need percentages!

What percent of people have sexually transmitted HPV? Of those, what percentage have the high-risk that is prone to cervical cancer? And of those, what percentage have the low-risk where warts (could) show up? And of those, how many people actually have the warts show up (because somebody could have symptoms or effects, but never have the warts show up)? If you also know how much smoking affects people with warts, that would be useful to know...I'm working on quiting, but ugly numbers will push me faster....

I've looked through tons of stats...all kinds of crazy answers. I mainly want to know how many people (percentage) in the US have warts actually show up on themselves in their lifetime???????

I saw this and wondered if this was the same thing you were describing:

Molluscum contagiosum is a benign viral infection caused by skin-to-skin contact that causes small lesions on any part of the skin except the palms or soles of the feet.

Symptoms: Small pearly white or flesh-colored papules with "punched out" centers that usually appear on the face or genitals. They can be itchy and spread rapidly.

Treatment: Treatments are done for cosmetic reasons and include topical drugs like cantharidin, podophyllin, 5-fluorouracil, tretinoin, cidofovir laser surgery, cryotherapy, acid peel, curetage, liquid nitrogen.

HIV-Related Concerns: Molluscum can be harder to treat in someone with HIV. Reports show highly active antiretroviral therapy (HAART) has reduced rates of molluscum.

1/14/2006

!

it sounds to me as though you have molluscum contagiousum..it is a viral infection of the skin.

it is an infection caused by a virus called "poxvirus" and can be caught through sexual contact with an infected person or through something as simple as sharing a towel or sitting on a bench after an infected person sat there.

the infection can be seen on the genitals (guys normally see it on the shaft of their penis) or the thighs (where women normally see it) the lower part of the stomach, the arms, legs, or face. it will look like a small wart but normally will have an indention or a head in the middle of it which you can squeeze out..

this will go away on its own, but if you dont want to wait for that you can get the bumps frozen off.

oh yea..i wouldnt scratch it if you have it..thats how most people spread it to their face..

okay about two days ago I noticed this cluster of bumps around my pubic area and the bottom of my penis. I WAS FREAKED! they were these little bumps that could be popped and a fleshy white hard thing came out. like pus or something, then it would bleed for a little. i thought for sure it was genital warts or a weird case of sebaceous prominence cause i have never seen anything like it before. as scared as i was, i went to the Doc and had it examined. turned out to be folliculitous. which is an infection in your hair follicules from shaving. it shouldnt be anything to worry about but get it checked anyways. COAST CLEAR!

Ok it sounds like molescum contagiosum. I know someone who had it! You can get the stuff out of the bumps, but it hurts. It is contagious. It can be spread thru sex, but is not always. Sharing towels, underwear, sleeping on sheets. It spreads easy. A doctor can diagnose it. They give you cream for it that can help it go away, it does go away on its own though. Can take years.
Put you mind at ease!

No, genital warts cannot be popped. What you may have is moluscum contagiosum, which if found in the genital area is usually sexually transmiited. It is treated similarly to warts.

Interesting. I have had a few singular bumps upon the scrotum, when I first spot them, they''re usually just a little lump, like when a hair is ingrown. As I'm writing this, I just finished removing it the same night I spotted it. It took a few cuts with the tweezers, but I finally loosened enough skin around it to remove what looked like an egg(it refused to be squashed by finger, and I had to use my fingers to rub it free from the skin because the tweezers couldn't pull it out) On a hunch, I grasped it between tweezers and set it on fire with a lighter. The thing popped and leaked a short stream of white. My guess is that it's a small ball of fat/sebaceous gland. I have gotten several of those over the years, usually at the sides of my head(above and a little front of the temples/sideburns), but those are yellow, and usually quite hard. The whitish ones sometimes show up when clearing up a particularly bad pimple on the face(after pricking with a pin, SOP for me is to keep pressure on the area until the pus is removed, then get a new sheet and try to remove the gland/oil sac under the skin as well) I just finished washing my privates with a facial lotion(Simple brand for men, supposed to be a face wash you put on after shaving, then rinse off), which stung like hell, but I predict full healing in 24 hours. :)

Do not try and pop cut or squeeze the warts at all . these are NOT normal warts and by cutting them you are letting the virus spread... this is very important ... genital warts vary in how they look from patient to patient, many general doctors have little or no experience of them . You must go to a STD clinic or gyneacologist ... It is a virus and there are no known cures . visibly the warts may go but the virus is still there !!!! this is important .. if you know that you have genital warts and have unprotected sex with somebody in european countries, at least you could be charged with assault or actual bodily harm by the police be carefull... in every case the patient reacts differently to treatments and the virus may also mutate and become immune of just fade away if you have HPV get checked for HIV they are both viruses RIGHT...some warts are actually invisible to the eye ... many people have this virus and will never know . I got laser treatment ...best of luck ..there is no mild hpv you either have it or you don''t how you skin reacts is another thing of course .. remember for women it is more dangerous and cause cervical cancer and or infertility ...

It sounds like a few of you have Molluscum Warts. It is very curable. Transmission of the wart is by skin contact. So if you touched someone with this or handle ( and dont be freaked out about this) Small children Then touched your genitals it is more than likely hoe.
Some children from the age of 3 to about 7 develope molluscum on thier skin.

So I would say go and have it looked at. You should have regular checkups anyway.

Good luck and be safe!!

Molluscum contagiosum virus (MCV) can be found worldwide with a higher distribution in the tropical areas. The disease is more prevalent in children with the lesions involving the face, trunk, and extremities. In adults the lesions are most often found near the genital region. The disease is endemic with a higher incidence within institutions and communities where overcrowding, poor hygiene, and poverty potentiate its spread.[10] Over the last 30 years its incidence has been increasing, mainly as a sexually transmitted disease, and it is particularly rampant as a result of concurrent human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) infection.[11] The worldwide incidence is estimated to be between 2% and 8%.[12] Less then 5% of the children in the United States are believed to be infected. Between 5% and 20% of patients with HIV have symptomatic MCV.[13,14] There are four main subtypes of molluscum contagiosum: MCV I, MCV II, MCV III, and MCV IV.[15,16] All subtypes cause similar clinical lesions in genital and nongenital regions. Studies show MCV I to be more prevalent (75%󈟆%) than MCV II, MCV III, and MCV IV, except in immunocompromised individuals.[17,18] There are, however, regional variations in the predominance of a given subtype and differences between individual subtypes in different countries.[19]

Pathogenesis

This disease is transmitted primarily through direct skin contact with an infected individual. Fomites have been suggested as another source of infection, with molluscum contagiosum reportedly acquired from bath towels, tattoo instruments, and in beauty parlors and Turkish baths.[10] The average incubation time is between 2 and 7 weeks with a range extending out to 6 months. Infection with the virus causes hyperplasia and hypertrophy of the epidermis.[12] Free virus cores have been found in all layers of the epidermis. So-called viral factories are located in the malpighian and granular cell layers.[12] The molluscum bodies contain large numbers of maturing virions. These are contained intracellularly in a collagen-lipid-rich saclike structure that is thought to deter immunological recognition by the host.[20] Rupture and discharge of the infectious virus-packed cells occur in the center of the lesion. MCV induces a benign tumor instead of the usual necrotic pox lesion associated with other poxviruses.[21]

ive never had sex before and today I woke up with this bump me penis it looked like a pimple....looked like it had puss so i tried popping it....nothing happened didnt pop. instead Genital Warts kind of just rushed to that area and it inflamed more. i was able to break part of skin open but nothing came out really i squeezed more and just some blood but also clear stuff that you would see sometimes after you would pop a pimple. anyways i hopped in the shower and it calmed down. i put hydrogen peroxide on it afterwards and that made ia little better i also put on hydrocortazone (spelling?) and that helped a bit. if ive never had sex before or anything what could it be? like i said before it wont even pop...it doesnt even look like theres puss in it anymore. its not as inflamed anymore but if anyone might know what it could be that would be great. for some reason im thinking it could have been a bug bite. what do you guys think?

I have the same problem as all of you except for one thing... I am not letting it ruin my self-esteem or effect my quality of life in anyway. So you have a few small bumps on your genitals *BFD* who cares?? How often are you having sex in bright hallogen lights and how often does your partner go down to your genitals and explore them like a detective... chill out and if someone notices i guarentee they wont say a damn thing. Wear condoms, protect your partner, but dont let it ruin your life... its a some bumps, who the hell cares???

I dont understand why so many of you side with the idea of going to a doctor.. I went to one and one minute he''s telling me that i could only spread it with occurring outbreak and the next he's telling me that its spreadable no matter what.... he also told me that anyone that has had sex with more than one person has got it... The only advice he had for me was to stop having sex... The guy was a joke and a waste of money and has encouraged me to do my own research...

OK people!!! The answer to this question is simple.. YEs, your body clear the virus within 6 to 10 months. ITs been a fact now and alot of new studies demonstrate that !! So, people, stop listening to people who tell you its for life... Numerous web site now publish these facts and studies..

I have genital warts or hpv whatever. And I had visual signs for a long time and I haven''t had any in over 2 years. I have also had a beautiful baby girl in the meantime that DOES NOT have hpv. My husband on the other hand has had signs since we've been together. It does not effect our relationship in any way. So I guess hpv effects people differently. But, you should see a doctor regularly if you know you have it or are having symptoms because it is known to cause cancer in men and women. Good luck and God Bless.

Genital warts cannot be popped, they are more like flesh. It sounds like you may have Herpes, because Herpes are blisters that fill and pop, but they can turn into painful sores after you pop them. Although sometimes when genital warts form on women they can be small and white, but still will not pop.

I would get checked by a doctore,,, could possible have something to do with boils. Usually boils are painful. The bigger they get if nothing is done the more painful they become....As someone stated before. They might also be caused by sweat. Boils are usually bacteria related

hey, I have the same problem right now, i am also trying to get my mom to take me to the doctor, i havent shown her and she tells me to put gold bond on it. but, that whole bit about squeezing it and a "white-head"like string came out is true for some of my bumps. Others will bleed for a little while and sometimes the "white-cre" as someone else said comes out. i hate having these things on my penis and scrotum and on my "happy-trail" my girlfriend says they are just ingrown hairs. but after looking at the pictures of warts, i now know that they are not warts, but that i would like to get them checked out, because i dont want to have cancer in the future from them. whatever they are.

I had some spots around the top of my shaft going up into my pubic region, iv been told by my doctor that this is a rash/virus called molluscum contagiosum and is can be passed on through sex or touch eg using the same towel. Theres no cure that is gaurenteed to work. But The same cream that is used on genital warts can help to destroy some of the spots I Hope this helps someone because it helped me alot, it also made me feel alot more confident that it wasnt genital warts.

I was reading this for research and I read a very disturbing answer up top on one of the 1st boxes, the 7th one to be exact and I pray that whoever runs this site will take it off. It''s not the end of the world. Clinically stating, any cold sore during cold season is a form of herpes so everyone gets bumbs at one time or another. Nothing is too big to be delt with

A couple of years ago, I had a knowledgeable doctor look at my scrotum for a suspected symptom like yours. What you describe is a pimple if it can be popped and a white discharge exists, and never returns, that''s what it most likely is. Warts, in my research, cannot be "popped". [I'm not a doctor, though.]

I'm not sure about your small, white dots on your lips. I recommend seeing a doctor for that.

All the best.

BS BS BS....warts, boils, herpes, thats all bs. These little white things are simply pimples...you''ve never gotten pimples on your arm or back before? It happens, you can get them anywhere you have pores. I was freaked out like all of you before. I never had sex before...how could i have an STD, but after looking at pictures of all these things i realized i DID NOT have warts in any way shape or form. And that nothing looked like what i had except a pimple. Most times if it looks like a duck, smells like a duck, and quacks like a duck, then its a friggn duck. If you really feel that its something else though go to the doctor and make yourself sure. Hell, I just might go anyway. washing more frequently and thoroughly and using washes and cremes specifically for body acne should help with the pimples

IF YOU HAVE WARTS ON YOUR TONGUE- READ THIS!!!!!

Well, for warts on your tongue(i have some there)..if anyone has this. I know the right treatment for it, you can buy it at the store!!!!! Believe it or not The Freeze Away Wart treatment by Dr. Scholls works!!!! I used it twice under my tongue, for two days, one time each day, before I go to bed. And they are almost completely cleared!! I can''t believe it, I am so happy!!! It does say on the box not to use it on mucous membranes, but it is Sylilic acid- the same thing the Doctor uses. It costs around $20 bucks, but it's so worth it! Just be careful at first, read the directions, and dab on lightly to see how your skin reacts with it, then once you know, you'll be able to figure out how many seconds to hold the Q-tip thingy on it for. It does sting and burn, but it's a nice stinging burn, you can tell right off the bat that it's killing the warts. I'd say use it in two day intervals.
I know it can sound ridiculous but it was something I was thinking of trying- because logically why WOULDN'T it work?!!!

I have NOT however used it in the genital area..for there I use Tee Tree Oil, and it IS working GREAT!!!! At first it does burn- first night that is. I soaked some gauze and slept with it over night, then dapped some on the next few nights..I can see and tell it's working!!!! You can buy all this stuff at a Walmart or a Target!

I had several similiar bumps under the head of my penis that would discharge a white substance when squeezed. My surgeon was concerned and scheduled me for outpatient surgery to have them removed. Several weeks later the results came in, I did NOT have genetial warts, instead, I had several small sebaceous cysts. Sebaceous cysts are sometimes caused by swollen hair follicles.

I JUST WANT TO SAY TO ANYONE WHO READ THE FOLLOWING TO PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS CONDITION IS NOT HPV. SO ANYONE HAVING THESE SYMPTOMS SHOULD BE REST ASSURED THAT THEY DO NOT HAVE HPV. I WOULD STILL ADVICE THOUGH, FOR YOU TO CHECK YOUR SYMPTOMS UP WITH A DOCTOR.

PREVIOUSLY WRITTEN....

Most people have these pimple-like symptoms. It is common amongst Afro-Caribbean and Black skin types. This is because of the coarse hair texture. The condition is known as folliculitis, IT IS NOT HPV (see the following link: http://dermnetnz.org/acne/folliculitis.html
It is a perfectly normal condition and it''s caused by the bacteria, Staph Aureus, which is present in the nose, genitals and other body areas. It is also due to the presence of these bacteria that women are often advised when using Tampons to be cautious of having the Toxic Shock syndrome (TSS).
I'm afro-Caribbean and have the same problem. I discovered that applying the ointment 'Fucidin' really helps to reduce the pimple-like symptoms. My doctor prescribed this for me, and advised me it's really nothing to worry about. I must say that I had this condition for years, before actually having the courage to tell my doctor about it. And since using fucidin, I've not really had to worry about it. I apply the ointment liberally a few days per month, this helps to eradicate or perhaps reduce the Staph Aureus.
My advice to all who have this, is not to worry, you're perfectly normal and healthy.
Sometimes issues concerning our genitals bother us so much.

I have two words for you guys: Molluscum Contagiosum. Although there is not a wealth of pictures showing the white bumps it is a symptom. Most commonly an STD in adults or a highly contagious skin disease in chidlren it is a non-life-threatening virus that clears up if you don''t freak out and pick at it, wash your hands constantly, and don't pass it back and forth between body parts of your partner. Good luck people...

I dont know the answer to most of the question here, but I can tell you this much... beware of online photos... they can be misleading... a lot of the pictures online are believed to be HIV and AIDS patients, it is common for those patients to have severe causes of HPV because the immune system is so damaged from the HPV.

okay everyone! listen. what I do know for a fact are those little bumps that when you squeeze, white string comes out, and cannot be popped. this IS COMPLETELY NORMAL. i have them 2. they cause no harm in anyway, except mite make you nervous around girls if your about to do it, but form what i''ve heard, girls dont care, tell tehm abotu it, hwonits normal, which it is, and it'l be fine. but know i have a question, is it normal to get a pimple on your penis? i dont mean like a hair foccile, or ingrown hair, but i it normal to get a pimple that can hurt, and puss comes out, maby a bit of bleeding?

10/29/2007

Genital warts can be popped, but most likely they are ingrown hairs or pimples. One way to know if they are warts is: when you cut open the top of a wart there is a small white head inside once this is popped it is VERY contagious and you will soon sprout more. The only way to get rid of warts (if you don''t use cream) is to have a doctor most likely a skin doctor to cut open the head (normal skin) and pop the whitehead inside.

I have had very small sometimes red bumps on the inside of my labia. They do not hurt and they cannot be popped. I have been told that they are genital warts by doctors, AND that they are ''just flesh tags, and nothing to be worried about'. Liquid nitrogen treatment got rid of them, but left some scarring (hardly noticable). I have not yet been tested for HPV, (My doctor told me that here in Canada we don't have the HPV test, and I've heard elsewhere that that was bull) but I'm pretty sure that this is what it is. Go to a few doctors and get as much information you can. I had a partner who had genital warts, but did not break out while we were together. None of my partners have had any sign of an outbreak of any kind. It has been almost three years since that relationship, and the bumps showed up TWO YEARS after it ended. A few websites suggest that the virus can become dormant, and many people only have one outbreak, when their body is first in contact with the virus. Some people don't get outbreaks at all, and that people with HPV and no visible genital warts are at high risk for cancer. This does NOT mean that you are cured, genital warts is a virus that will stay with you for your lifetime, so see a healthcare preofessional for options. It doesn't have to be a big deal. About 80% of the north american population has genital warts, so even if you test positive, there are still plenty of fish in the sea. I have also heard (yes from a doctor) that even if protection is used, in rare cases the virus can be passed. Always use protection, and don't keep it from your partners because you are embarrased. You can live with it, they're not going to kill you, they're just unsightly. Girls, get a pap every 6 months. If you're really worried, go ahead and get a biopsy.

1/19/2006

!

hello to Women seeking help...
Here''s what I know... I went to my GP for a pap, she agreed that she thought i was infected with a form of HPV (my bumps are small and scattered throughout my labia amd in my vagina. They are able to be popped or scGenital Wartsd off, and a white hard puss emerges and usually Genital Warts afterwards...So while I wait to hear if there are any abnormal cells found, my GP has referred me to a gyno and I will soon be getting a colposcopy done at my local hospital (magnification of the cervix) to screen for abnormal findings. From my research (i am a nursing student), I am pretty sure that there are MANY forms of the virus, and if you have ANY concerns be persistent and get checked out by as MANY proffessionals as you can, and keep in mind that the SOONER you are diagnosed, the earlier the interventions (treatments) can begin, and the less chance you'll have at developing a cervical cancer.

What viruses do is inject their DNA into normal cells, which cause mutations (in this case in your cervical cells) and alter normal cell functions...these mutated cells, if not treated, can (in approx. 50% of all cases) lead to cervical cancer down the road. This cancer (and most) can spread to other areas as well as into your blood stream.

"XIEOE"- THIS IS A ? SOMEONE HAD ASKED MASTER PPP

Scabbing takes about 2-3 days. Yes you can apply the treatment on the scabs...in fact it speeds up the process considerably. As mentioned previously, it is advsed to stop treatment once in a while (maybe every 2 weeks you take 2 days off) to monitor progress. try it mildly at first and see how your body responds. Only you can determine how much is too much.

XIEOE- THIS IS ANOTHER ? BEING ANSWERED BY MASTER PPP

There are a few concerns I would like to address.
1. Yes, the papules go deeper than you would think. you must continue this treatment even after the bumps flatten out in order to eradicate the roots. The iodine will show you how far to go since it will adhere more to the papules than the surrounding healthy flesh. Once you have successfully flattened the bumps out, you will notice darker spots on them after application...when these dark spots are gone, so are the papules. The real key is to NEVER pick at the dry skin, or you will expose the bumps prematurely and set yourself back to square one. This was a hard-learned lesson for me, and it is amazing how difficult it was not to mess around with the dry skin, since i admittedly enjoy picking any scab that shows up on my body. If you stick by this rule, you will save yourself a lot of time and stress, i cannot emphasize it enough.

2. Tenderness is normal the first day or two...if you are sore after the first 48 hours, its time to cut back your dosage. Take a 2 day break to let your skin heal a bit and when you start up again, try cutting the dosage by half. Try one day of treatment followed by a day of recovery/cleanliness/relaxation. Remember that everyone will get different bodily responses from this treatment and you should start off mild and work your way up. The stain will completely disappear once the scab falls off IN THE SHOWER. hot water works best to get the shedding process goin...dont overdo it tho..

3. I do not recommend the use of peroxide. In my case, it did more harm than good. Peroxide can damage the skin without the benefit of a protective scab thus facilitating the spread of the papules. I have used it with limited success on the shaftbumps but the white fizzing pain just aint worth it in my opinion (and this is coming from a guy who doused his ***** with iodine for 2 months)

4. If you have a loving partner who accepts your silly willy, then there is no need to undergo the tedium of this treatment. Learn to accept what ya got. If you like a little variety in your life like I do, then it is infinitely easier to avoid explanations whenever you are getting questioned after a blow job. The truth is that half the women I end up messin with either dont notice or dont care. I did this for myself and the other 50% of fine *** that I missed out on cuz the chicks got freaked when their lips ran across unfamailiar terrain. I dont pretend to have all the answers and in fact i am convinced that there is probably a better way to get rid of these thing without surgery that mebbe some chinese guy in the mountains has discovered. But until I find that elusive remedy, I will continue to endorse the iodine drip becuz it has served me well!

fordyce spots and pearly penile papules is all I have to say. I thought I had genital warts and it turned out to just be a combination of the both. google both those and look at the picture and its probably what you have because they can be popped and appear to be like small pimples but DON''t do it. it just spreads them more. they is treatment for both of them to get rid of although it can be expensive if you use laser.

I'm 18 and just found out about all this though so if you find out more information about it or anything email me and we can go through it together. thedaveler@gmail.com

ps apparently millions of people have these things on their Genital Wartss, vaginas, and lips of their mouth and its apparently harmless so i guess its not a big deal but convincing your sexual partner that you dont have genital warts may be. . . uhhgh!

heres a home remedy. I have yet to try it though because I still have them. posting below, copied off other site..

I think the following should help people who want to know if they have HVP or GENITAL WARTS or not.

The ANSWER: THE ONLY SURE WAY TO TELL IS TO GET TESTED! (Do NOT be afraid of going to the doctor.)

Many people have posted questions about little white bumps, wanting to know if they are infected with HPV.

In many cases this is NOT HPV or HERPES or GENITAL WARTS.

There are two naturally ocurring skin conditions that affect between 50%-90% of the population.

1) FIND OUT WHAT YOU HAVE

CLICK ON THIS WEBSITE TO SEE WHICH OF THE TWO NON VIRAL, NATURAL SKIN CONDITIONS YOU HAVE:
http://www.studenthealth.co.uk/advice/advice.asp?adviceID=153

It is most likely one of the two conditions: PPP (PENILE PENILE PAPULES) or FS (FORDYCE''''S SPOTS).

They are both NATURAL, COMMON, NON-TRANSMITTABLE, AND ARE NOT GENITAL WARTS, NOT HPV and NOT HERPES.

2) LEARN ABOUT WHAT YOU HAVE

PENILE PENILE PAPULES

Some conditions (a ring of tiny white bumps near the head of the penis) are called PENILE PENILE PAPULES.

To see what this condition is visit: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hirsuties_papillaris_genitalis
(there is a picture there for you to compare with your condition)

To read up on PPP go to: http://pearlypenilepapules.net/ or http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hirsuties_papillaris_genitalis

FORDYCE''S SPOTS

Some conditions (small skin colored spots or raised bumps that appear on the shaft of the penis or labia) are called
FORDYCE''S SPOTS.

To see what this condition is visit: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fordyce%27s_spot
(there is a picture there for you to compare with your condition)

To read up on FS go to: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fordyce%27s_spot

3) GET HELP IF YOU NEED IT

Skin conditions are very common. There is nothing to be ashamed of. For other skin conditions, including STDs
talk to your family. They should be there to help you. If you can not talk to your family or seek help you
might want to try the following site:

http://www.sworn.org/stdhelp.html

if it pops its not a wart. warts are more fleshy. You should go to the doctor, s/he could probably give you a diagnosis.

They cannot be popped. Most likely you have sebaceous cysts which basically protein clogged pores. These can be sexually transmitted. If this is what you are diagnosed with, the treatment is relatively simple and permanent. Go to your doctor and he will scGenital Warts the protein out of the pore. This may require more than one treatment and it is a bit painful

If you can not talk to your family or seek help you
might want to try the following site:

http://www.sworn.org/stdhelp.html
http://www.chicagohelp.org/
http://stdhelp.org/

I hope this reply was helpful for the many dozens or hundreds of people that thought they had an STD when in reality
they only had a NATURAL SKIN CONDITION with nothing to worry about. INFO=KNOWLEDGE! Pass it on.

Molluscum Contagiousum often occures on the scrotum and shaft for adults. Also on the face. You may want to look into this more. It is a virus and is very contagious. It is part of the pox family.

I was not relieved when I took my daughter in to find out she had Molluscum Contagiousum. It is highly contagious and can last for up to three years. My daughter had them all over her thighs, behind her knees, elbows and they were spreading to her stomache. The docter said there are things you can do like burning them off ( she had over 100 so can you imagine? ) but he suggested letting them run its course to prevent scarring. It lasted 6 months and they are finally gone! I am sooo glad that is behind us.

i am the same person as the one that wrote above. and after I got done posting this i did some research. there has been alot of misdiagnosis. i asked my boyfriend if he could pop them. and he said yeah, but a hard white thing comes out. so while i was researching i looked up molluscum contagiosum. and it said "the clear-cut distinction between molluscum and genital warts is that if you pop them then there will be something hard and white" so some of my stress is relieved. because my gut WAS and still IS telling me it''''s molluscum. but as far as the question, ask your doctor. and just to be safe ask a dermatologist. and DO NOT POP THEM. unless it''s done professionally. because like pimples, the fluid coming out of it can spread it to more of the general area.

I have kind of the same problem. My boyfriend started getting bumps at the base of his penis. But no where else. It doesn''''t look like any of the pictures of genital warts. But at the same time it scares me. For one because he hasn''t slept with anyone but me, so that just makes me feel terrible and disgusting. And two how long have I not known about this. I went for a pap smear last year and there was nothing there. But at the same time I just don''t know what to do.

No matter what is going on in the crotch that seems weird, scary or unable to be talked about can be with a gynocologist even if you are a dude.
Anything and everything that could possibly be wrong can be cured or treated and it sounds like to me you would like to a.) Find out what the hell is going on with your body and b.) Have whatever this is treated or cured.
There are dermatologists, gynocrotcholist and plastic surgeons who get the rarest of cases due to their expertise.
It all starts with the skin. If you have a pimple the white inside is called sebum. It goes through the pore tunnel called a sebaceous gland. When you have a ph balance you have clear skin because the sebaceous gland runs smoothly. When that ph balance is offset it causes over or underproduction of sebum.
If the sebum is contagious by spreading from one side to the other when abraised it isn''''t something that should be left alone to figure out on your own because it could lead to regrets should this condition get worse and you knew you could have caught it sooner.
Medical care is available so utilize it! Doctors are professionals who won''t judge you like some of the mean people you know who would say ooh. A doctor will not gross out or think you are weird or gross.
The human body isn''t perfect. We all have imperfections. All of our imperfections are different and some are the same. When it comes to having something bewildering on a sexual organ it can freak you out.
You start to worry about having sex and your partner finding this and the awkwardness and fear surrounding the thoughts in your partners head or if you should ever have sex again or how you will have sex to avoid awkwardness.
Don''t go through that anymore! Just see a doctor. Planned Parenthood has a fee that is low if you aren''t rich. Call them and ask about it and get to work on making an appointment for when you aren''t on your period and don''t have sex 3 days before. You''ll feel so much better to know what is going on and taking care of this problem that is hurting your life otherwise.
It is important to get past your fear of doctors for the genetalia.
It is important to speak openly with your doctor about your body because your doctor can''t treat something if they don''t know what it is. The way for the doc. to know is you telling the details you have figured out with your own inteligence in knowing your own body better than anyone. Take care of it! You only get one body for the rest of your life.

ive had hvp warts for over twoo years now. most of the info I know ive had to find myself. i didnt even know warts were from hpv for over the first year i had them! i did go to the doctor, and thats what they said it is, and i''''ve managed to pop a couple in the past, HOWEVER, last time i went to the dr because i thought i was having a bfreak out, she said it was jus "chicken skin", so maybe thats what i was popping. not sure tho. i never had chicken skin before the warts tho... so idk if theyre linked or not. i also agree, there are too many warts pics made to scare people, ive only ever had it mild as well, nothing like the picture i see on the internet.

aldara is a painfull, itchy, skin-peeling remedy, for a short while, that i would have to continue to use forever. i HATED it!

i also had a couple "froze" off, like a hand wart. that was fairly painless. didnt mind that at all.

warts definently itch, and me and a friend of mine have both notice we''ve become more prone to bacterial vaginosis since warts. not sure if its all the way connected but seems like it.

the reason im on this site tonite though was to find out, can you get them in your mouth? ive heard a lot of people saying yes, but mostly just their thoughts, and not actually sure. also for a while i was concerned that the acne on my chin was warts, or caused by them. considering so many people are saying they cant be popped, i guess im just having some hormone issues... which i knew anyway... hey also, any one know if genital warts cause menstral irregularities?

They can but I dont reckon you should. its abit late now lol. but im 18 and all that started happenin 2 me at 13. it was two pimples/bumps which got bigger every year. and at 16 it got to like 50 on me. those two first ones got so big i could feel the tension in the skin so i popped it with a pin/nail lol. which wasnt smart because now im 18 and its spreading everywhere and i can help my self but to pick at it. its Genital Wartsing feral i know but i can''''t help myself and im too scared to go to the docters as i am ashamed of it all.

i also have this same problem. my name is nabhan and I contracted it after having sex with my new puppy dog named Jeff. he said not to worry about it but then the warts started to get bigger and bigger, even bigger than my penis itself. i am very scared.

Dr. Alice,

My wife discovered an unnatural lump on the one side of the labia some four years ago. It was small and never bothered her. She is currently twenty-three-years-old. After we got married recently, and she became sexually active, the lump has increased in size, and is sometimes painful. I took her to the local ER where the GP on duty examined her and diagnosed it as a Barcelona Cyst. He consulted with the Gynae on call who wanted to remove the cyst the next morning under general anesthesia (sic). We decided (sic) to wait and get a second opinion since we don''''t favour the idea of general anesthesia. He also prescribed wide spectrum antibiotic for one week because he said that the cyst look infected. The cyst is approx 2 cm x 1 cm big and quite hard.
I can find no reference to a "Barcelona" cyst. Could you please give some more information and some advice?

Thank you.
James

Dear James,

On either side of the vaginal opening is a pair of glands called the Bartholin ("Barcelona" was close) or vestibular glands. The Bartholin gland produces fluid that lubes the vulva''s inner lips. Located on each side of the entrance into the vagina (introitus), this substance can ease penetration. If the opening to either of these glands becomes blocked, a Bartholin cyst is formed that can make a bulge in the lip near the opening of the vagina. The cyst can also swell and become tender. Small, uninfected cysts may not have to be treated, but do need to be monitored by a health care provider.

Bartholin cysts can also become infected, forming what are known as abscesses. Abscesses can be excruciatingly painful and require treatment, such as oral antibiotics. Warm baths or compresses can help alleviate discomfort till your wife sees a provider. Cysts that cause pain or other problems can be drained by the provider by ing a small tube (called a catheter) into the gland or by making an incision directly into the gland itself. In some cases, surgical removal of the Bartholin gland is recommended, particularly for women with recurrent cysts. Fortunately, once cysts are treated with surgery, they''re less likely to reoccur.

This is most likely what a lot of you have, however there are things such as INGROWN hairs, which you could have as well. Sometimes it requires surgery sometimes not, good luck.

If you are certain that it''''s a genital wart, the best stuff to use is the Wart Mole Vanish, which you can purchase on eBay from a seller named "jamespristine." This stuff ain''t cheap, but it works miracle. The magic is in the scratching of the wart and then applying the solution, which will have a burning feeling. You have to leave it on for 20 minutes. The wart will not disappear right away, but check back another day and it''s gone. That is, if what you have is genital wart and not something else. Good luck to all.

umm. here''''s the thing. I don''t have any signs or anything. and a little less than a year ago i donated Genital Warts. and usually don''t they not allow you to donate if you have anything? i don''t know. and my boyfriends doctor just looked at them and just was like "yeah you have hpv". i know that they don''t have any tests for it for men. i go in for a pap smear on friday and he goes in for laser surgery the same day. i mean. they don''t look like genital warts. and he started popping them. and they started going away. he''s only had them for about 2 months now. i know that you should really ask a doctor. but i don''t think someone can just look at something really quick. like just glance at it and be like "uh, yeah, you have this". all respect for doctors but i think that my boyfriend was told something completely wrong. i mean i keep telling myself that the doctor is right but my gut is telling me something other wise..

Genital warts do not break and ooze pus when squeezed you probably have sebacious cysts or ingrown hairs, which are quite common in the genital area.

Waldon Research has a cream that WORKS!!! Google them it is inexpensive and it really works. I had tried over the counter remedies, my doc prescribed aldera (fertilizer!!) I had them surgically removed and they cam back. After using the cream from Walden Research I have been out break free for 1 1/2 years :)

This sounds like ingrown hair to me, I have the same thing but never had any pain or transmitted anything.

4/21/2011

this might be something called molluscum contagiosum. It can be transmitted sexually, and I guess the immune system deals with it pretty quickly. It is not at all associated with any kind of cancer so is less of a big deal than HPV, which in itself, is not that big a deal to most people. My advice is go to the doctor, and ask if its molluscum contagiosum. It does not sound like hpv warts, maybe its something totally different.
