Question:

I hav just fund out I hav HPV and im very scared and alone and i dont know what im going to do because im never going to hav a relationship with any one and nobody is going to want me and im breaking down, im a male and im 17.what do i do?

Don''t worry. If HPV makes someone turn away from you, then they weren't worth it in the first place. I was diagnosed with HPV when I was 16. I am now 21. My husband (also with HPV) and I will celebrate our first anniversary in August and have a healthy 3 month old son. Have faith in yourself. I knoe it seems like the end of the world now, but I promise you things WILL get better.

I am 21 years old and I just found out that I have HPV as well. I have the visible warts and I am currently being treated for them. I have been having the same feelings as well, but you have to realize that it is not your fault. Do not consider this a mistake but rather a lesson you can take something away from. You cannot live in fear of this virus, it is harmless to you! Yes, it can be a pain in the butt, but just think how lucky you are that it is not a more serious virus or STD. This will just help you choose your future partenrs with care. And remember that the warts can be treated. You WILL find someone that will love you for who you are. This virus will in no way affect how successful you become or how you can make a difference in this World. Focus on the positive and know that there are millions of people with the same virus. We can all pray that there will be a cure and vaccine for this virus in the future. I know research is being done and I am optimistic that it will happen one day. Have faith in the Lord, "If he see''s you to it, he will see you through it."

Don''t worry, I'm was 16 when I found out I had HPV and I also felt like no one would every want to be with me and I felt that I would never have sex again and that I wouldn't get married or have kids but then I realized guys who truly were interested in being with me didn't let my virus get in between us. I'm now in a good relationship with no sexually problems. Question. if you are a guy, I did you find out you had HPV? Did warts show up or did the doctor run a test? I just wanted to know so my ex-boyfriend can get tested. Reply at mskitty2515@yahoo.com

I was the same way at your age when I found out. Scared, isolated, depressed. After years I finally went to the doctor and got information. He burned the warts off, some came back, burned again until there were no more. Last time I went he froze them off. Much easier and little pain. This is not the end of the world and you should have relationships. Be open and honest once you believe you may have sex. I''m now 36 and have been honest with every woman I've been with and none have thought it was a big deal. Educate yourself and educate them also before sex. Keep one thing in mind, it's only a wart and like all warts can be transmitted to others. It just happens that this one is on a private part. Simple. The first couple of times you share this with a partner you'll be imbarassed, but if it is somebody you care about and they care for you then they'll understand and will appreciate your honesty. I have never had a woman refuse sex after being so open. Best wishes and keep your head up.

When I found out i had hpv, i was engaged, and i felt it was my fault even though he was my only sexual partner and he was in iraq at the time so it was even harder to tellh im and i felt like if he left me i would be alone, and would never be in a relationship again. im happy to say we are married now, but remember just because you have hpv doesnt mean ur alone. there are many ppl out there who feel the same way u do right now, just remember there is hope, and alwayas inform the person u end up dating that u have hpv, im sure somone someday will understand.
