Question:
Can anyone tell me their experience with Aldara cream and HPV?
|
You can buy Imiquad generic brand from India for cheaper on the net. Try - $5 for 3 packs!! Also, Apple Cider Vinegar (organic internally, distilled externally) is a great cure for warts. Search for genital warts.

I used Aldara and my warts were removed gone within 4 weeks. Apparently, I was one of the lucky people who have experienced this with Aldara. I did not experience the itching or burning associated with the cream, but I also was very careful to follow the directions to a "T". I also boosted my immune system with vitamins as soon as I found out I had HPV and refused to let the stress overcome me and my life. I believe all of this helped.
By all means stay informed, grieve for a week or two, but do not let this virus become your life like I''ve seen so many people let it do. You own your life, not HPV. I believe this attitude helps with many of the treatments and the stress involved with them.

I used it for about 4 weeks, and I was completely cleared up. I had no burning, only mild itching. HPV is not a serious disease if you have it treated early, and sooner or later, there will be a cure for it. God Bless...

I once got so drunk I mistook that cream for whipping cream and put it on my strawberries.
I felt a burning sensation on my lips for like a day or so after.

Aldara cream works but can be very irritating. I opted for acid treatments because the Aldara caused severe itching. Acid stings, but is very effective.

I used aldara cream along with my gyno doing using the TCA acid and it took about 5 months to clear it up, but I''m clear now. The cream can be a little irritating, but it's worth it if it makes the warts go away.

I had a terrible experience with Aldara. I read on the Aldara website that there was little pain associated with the cream. I am here to tell you differently! I was also told that health skin was not affected. I used the cream about 3 times...and I was in so much pain. The cream caused ulcers to form in the area and it was very painful to go to the bathroom. Once I quit using the cream it cleared up in about a week. Later I found out that I do not have HPV and my healthy skin reacted violently to the cream.

aldara can burn and irritate the skin and cause swelling if you leave it on for more than the hours indicated. I had a very bad experiance with that, so be careful. I have yet to see the effectiveness of this medication but it is supposed to take awhile.

I was diagnosed with genital warts about two months ago. Immediately my doctor started freezing the warts off which she did 3 times. Along with the freezing, she prescribed the Aldara cream. The warts went away by the second week but came back soon thereafter so I was sent to another doctor that used a laser to burn them off. I was told to use the aldara cream every day for 4 weeks. It has been the most painful experience of my life and there is no sure way to tell if they will come back. So its pretty much a Genital Wartsty situation but atleast its not life threatening.

I used Aldara about three times and it burned and itched really bad, so I quit using it and the warts went away on their own in about 3 weeks.

My problem is that I went to the doctor after reallizing that for the last couple of years,I started developing weird looking moles all over my sides, breasts & one side on my back. Lately I also got a couple around my vagina. The doctor perscribed Aldara for 8-16 weeks.I had to use it every two days to avoid the"irritations" .Well to tell you the truth,Ihad no problems whatsoever. After 8 weeks the moles looked a bit better, but I had to quit the therapy because the cream was very expensive(98$/per box).

I had a horrible exprience at first with Aldara. I had all of the side effects and I had the worst fever, chills, headache, ect. I called the doctor and she said it was common for people to overdose on the medication - which was close to what I was doing. She said that realistically if you don''''t have a huge outbreak, you can use the one package for two applications, just use a needle to poke a hole and use half the first time and half the second time. My outbreak was around the vaginal opening and some spots on the upper lips. After using it for 3 weeks it has dramatically gone down and is almost cleared up. Also, after switching to using the one package for two applications, I''ve only had results and no side effects. As far as HPV goes, I have spoken with 4 doctors and my friends who are in medical school. You can clear the virus. They believe it takes 2 years from your initial outbreak. The reason why people think it stays in your system is because that was all the information used to say, until new/recent discoveries were made. By using Aldara you are strengthening your immune system and building an immunity against the ONE strand of HPV, you can become infected by the other strands that cause genital warts and or cervical cancer. I was devasted when I first found out I had this and searched the internet and got all the wrong information. Talk to more than one medical professional before believing anything you read on the internet concerning HPV and genital warts.

The aldara cream sucks! I went to my gyno and she had told me i had genital warts..some on the outside but alot on the inside of my labia. She prescribed me the aldara and told me it would cause SOME discomfort. The word some was definitely an understatement. First of all it cost me $300 for one months worth..mind you she told me i would have to do it for at least 3 months. So the first day i did it was last monday..nothing seemed bad a little itchyness but nothing i couldn''''t bare. Then two days later I began have the nauseating side effects, i was even puking. After my second application(which i did on thursday instead of wednesday to give it a little more time in between) the next morning i woke up in the middle of the night around 4am to an excruciating burning and itching(and well you obviously cant itch it)and could not fall back asleep so i decided to just go hop in the shower. well while i was in the shower i began to feel very light headed and felt lie i was going to puke..so when i got out my eye sight went black for about 10 seconds(i thought i was going freakin blind, fml). Then i began to dry heave and gag alot. My stomach felt horrible, my vagina was throbbing. I have never felt so terrible in my life no matter how sick i have been. I honestly thought i was going to die i didn''t know what to expect. Now my vagina is sore and has open wounds on places that the warts werent even at. It itches and burns terribly 24/7. I can''t even touch down there and i have to dab instead of wipe after i go pee(not to give tmi). I advise not using this, i hadnt even used it for a week and my vagina already feels like its going to be suffering for the rest of my life. If you honestly want to use the aldara let me know, i have a whole months supply(minus the two that i used) and will be willing to sell you the cream for cheaper than the pharmacy. Freakin 300 what a rip off! Just email me at jwali25@yahoo.com
