Question:

I have been diagnosed with HPV1 from cold sores and fever blisters.I have std tests done every year, and also have been recently tested positive for hpv2(genetal),but have no visable leasions or warts. Is it possable for a yeast infection to trigger hpv1 and it become hpv2??

Cold sores and fever blisters are caused by HSV, not HPV. It stands for Herpes Simplex Virus. HSV1 is the version of Herpes that causes cold sores, HSV 2 is the kind that most commonly causes genital herpes. Yes, it is possible but rare to pass from your mouth to your genitals but it doesn''t actually become another strain. But neither of these things cause warts... that's a completely different virus. Sounds like you can stop worrying. I think it would make you feel better as well to talk to your doctor about all of this and let him explain it to you. HSV1 is very, very common. All cold sores are caused by this. It's really nothing to be stressed over.
