I just had a colposcopy done by my ob/gyn because of an abnormal pap smear for hpv. She told me that there is no way I can give this virus to my husband. My question is what are the chances he has this virus and gave it to me?

first of all who ever told you that you cannot spread this disease is TOTALLY wrong! this is a VERY common disease that 80% of our population has and most are unaware of. There is a 50% chance that he may have given you HPV but you also could have had it for years and not known, this disease is very strange in that it can lie dormant in your body for years before surfacing into a scary gyno appt. I would look into that topic more and get some accurate reasearch going. Good luck to you
