I am a young sexually active female. Recently I have developed small bumps almost "pimple like" in my genital area. I got one before and it went away. they arent red or sore or open or pussing or anything and they are mostly external not near my inner area. Is this HPV or just bumps?
Dont ever rely on your GP general practitioner, if there really only 20 million cases than thats less than 10% of the population and they probably studied HPV for 5 minutes in med school.
Your OB/GYN would have a much better background for this, but doesnt sound like HPV.

The best way to answer this question is by seeing your doctor. It is very important that you see a GP, gynocologyst, or dermatologist any time there is a change in the genital area.

Be sure to go to a gyn! I was diagnosed with genital warts by a general practioner and after 3 weeks of using Aldara which caused itching and constant burning, I decided to go to a gyn. The gyn told em that I do NOT have genital warts...it's just the way my genital anatomy looks..
