I have only had sexual contact with my husband. I never rubbed genitals with someone else. My husband of 27 years claims that he never had sex with anyone else. How else could I have acquired HPV? Can it be transmitted in a hot tub, swimming pool, on a toilet seat or by touching something that an infected person touched with their hands. I do not believe that my husband has cheated on me. Please help me to sort this out.
Same here, I've had the same sexual partner for 6 yrs. Two of those years he was my husband. While I was pregnent, about a year ago, I had my first abnormal papsmear ever which eventually turned out to be precancerous cells caused by HPV. My husband claims he hasn't slept with anyone since me and I was his first. I had other sexual partners before him and the only conclusion I can come up with is that I must have contracted it from one of them, since I trust my husband and now that he also has the virus, should have nothing to hide. I also gave him the guilt trip and said that I might not be able to have kids anymore because he gave me this disease (which is false by the way), I told him we could talk about this and get through it together, but still he stands by his word and I believe him. Still, how long can this disease stay dormant? I've benn sexually active for 8 years before now it almost seems impossible. Which keeps me wondering as well.

the same thing has just happened to me, so i know exactly what you are going through. no it can not be transmitted in any of the above. it must be a standard answer, my husband claimed he'd been with nobody else. just remember these warts do not and will not appear for no reason. also this virus does not lay dormant in your system for years without being passed on

if I have never been with anyone except my boyfriend and he saids he doesnot have it how can i find out if he is telling the truth
