I found out two days ago that I had HPV and told my girlfriend, someone I had fallen in love with deeply, that she had been exposed to HPV through me. This was no doubt one of the most difficult things that I've ever had to do in my life. My advice would be to try and be calm when explaining and when you're through do not have expectations on how they will react. Good or bad, if you truly love them you will accept their reaction and go with the flow. Remember, life does not stop because you have HPV, it just changes and this change can be scary but you'll be alright.
