Question:
I heard that eating eggs can cause an outbreak, so can using Mayo(which has eggs) cause an outbreak?

I think that is more true for Herpes/HSV. The herpes DNA uses the amino acid L-Arginine to replicate itself - Eggs are high in L-Arginine, just as meats and other dairy are.
Researchers have found that another amino acid L-Lysine blocks the bio-availability of Arginine.
I believe the highest source of Lysine is in potatoes with the skin on. Lysine is also available in supplement form.
