need opinion

I am in a commited relationship with someone who has been diagnosed with genital warts. I'm still very confused on his case. He went to a clinic who treated it with vinger solution and it didn't turn white like it was suppose to. instead it burned his skin really badly and irritated him. them we went to a dermatologist who also said that it was warts and laser them off. the only problem that i have with our problem is that they nevered looked anything like in the pictures. and i still have a negative result. they haven't come back. we've been together over 4 years and still have unprotected sex. if he has it then i know i got it. we've had more sex when they was present which was only that one time in 2000 then we do without them. i've read others stories and they come in contact with people and have symptoms and cofirmation. hopefully any one who reads this doesn't become offended that it may seem like i want there to be a positive result for hpv or genital warts over a negative result but i to would like to have a true answer to my problem especially knowing that my mate had two doctors tell us that he does. should we see a specialist so i can start to except it with no doubts.

most people never show symptoms.
sounds like you're one of those
lucky! if youre referring to being
tested by pap that only tests for
dysplasia or high risk strains. be
glad you don't and keep up your good
health.

hey but having an abonormal pap shows
the infection of HPV too not only the
risky strains or displasia, just like
me.......

HPV can take years to show up positive
on a pap smear for women. I have been
in a monogomous relationship for four
years and was just diagnosed today with
HPV. I don't know if my boyfriend gave
it to me or someone else four years ago
because my current boyfriend has no
symptoms. I'm sorry but if the Doc
says he has HPV then most likely you
both do; you just haven't shown any
symptoms yet.

it took 11 yrs for me to be diagnosed
with hpv because I have a strain that
doesnt cause warts just abnormal cell
changes and possably cervical cancer
my husband and I have been married for
10 yrs and have never used protection
but we know he has it too if I have it
but neither of us have visable symtoms
and weve both never once had a genital
wart so it can take a long time for it
to show up or you could have it and
never have a single symtom of it
