75% of people have HPV. That means 3/4 of *all* the people you know are infected with it! Having HPV is not the end of the world, and most people's lives aren't even affected by it. Many don't even know they have it.
I've had two abnormal pap smears in the past year, but my last two were normal (yay!). I have no symptoms, and no visible warts. However, I do have the kind of HPV that may lead to cancer, so I do have to have regular paps (every 3 months after I have an abnormal pap and every 6 months after I have a normal pap) to monitor it.
A positive outlook is important. Look at every day as a gift, have fun, and live life. Take care.

I had 2 partners in my life, 2nd time around 6 months into relationship i found out that i had warts. I went to the specialist & he confirmed this he burnt off the visible ones & performed a pap-smear (which came back normal) Dr performed a colposcopy same day & used some dye to put on my cervix, guess what I did have hpv on my cervix, so dont rely just on pap smears insist on further test because you just dont know what is going on inside you...good luck

Good and realistic point of view. A lot of people don't want to tell others for obvious reasons. A lot of people have it and don't know it and are spreading it.
