Two months ago I saw something abnormal and I scheduled an appointment. My doctor told me I had genital warts one day before my senior trip to Cancun. I was devastated. One month later I had a laser treatment done. I'm still recovering. It was the most painful and scariest thing I have ever been through. My only fear now is that the warts will reoccur. My family and friends are the only way I overcame this obstacle.

I couldn't have the surgery without my mom knowing. It was a huge insurance bill. You really should tell people you care about. They will be there for you and support you. I couldn't have done it with out them.

I developed warts late April and they kept recurring every month. I'm keeping my fingers crossed because they have not popped up since late July now. I've been eating healthy, sleeping well and trying not to stress.

I am 24 years old and just underwent laser surgery for my warts and I am trying to recover but it is a very painful and scary thing to have to deal with but a have learned such a huge lesson about sex and me.
