Aldara usage rules

I have warts around my anus and have been applying aldara for almost 5 weeks. I think they're getting smaller but their still there. I am wondering if you really have to throw away a packet of aldara after one use. It seems like such a waste of expensive cream, does it matter? I also wanted to know if applying lotion or cortizone cream between treatment would affect the medicine.

I'm in the same boat as you, and my
doctor told me that it was fine to use
one packet for like three
applications. What I do is put it in a
plastic bag and use it again, but
after I apply it, I make sure to wash
my hand before I put it away.

Don't throw it away, that's stupid. I
go through a packet every two days. I
use it every night.

having the anal warts, do you notice
if you bleed when you go number two?
I hate to be gross, but I don't know
what to think, and I don't know if I
have a hurnia (I don't know how to
spell it) or if it's something more
serious.

yeah there's blood, the warts are
finger shaped and at the base if you
fold them over there is blood
sometimes. Most of the blood came from
wiping, so i just take one dump a day
now and shower afterwards. Gross huh.
I think you mean a hemorhoid not a
hurnia. Thats what I thought i had
because of this bleeding but from the
pictures i've seen these are warts for
sure. so what about putting cortizone
or vitamin e or something to ease the
pain?

Yeah, had blood there too. It sucked
but what can ya do....but the Aldara
did work though and got rid of the
warts there...now just for the other
areas. Cortizone helps as well on the
nights you dont' use Aldara.
