I recently noticed some small clusters of bumps around my vagina and clitoris. I went to the doctor and was told I had genital warts but was never actually "diagnosed" with any form of HPV. The doctor gave me a free two week sample of the Aldara cream and I began using it immediately. In just four applications all the "warts" were completely gone. Its been a while since I used the cream, and have had no more outbreaks. I've since researched Aldara and have found no results that come close to mine, as far as sucess and how quickly the warts were gone. It's been a real strain on myself and my partner who no longer wants to be intimate in any way! Could I have been mis-diagnosed? Maybe I had/have something else, and the doctor just assumed? If amyone has an answer or suggestion, it would be greatly appreciated!

Only advise I can give you is to go back and get re-tested. I have heard of some mis-diagnosis. You AND your partner should go get checked. Good luck to you.

Thanks for the feedback.. I made an appointment to get another pap on Wednesday, so hopefully I'll get some real results. Now the hard part is to get him to get tested... I'll keep you posted. Thanks!

unfortunately, there is no way to test for hpv without symptoms. Oops, I mean there is no COST effective way. If you were in a university study group sky's the limit. They can even check your urine, for enough cash. Most don't even want to discuss it though, it's commercially not feasible right now.
What we all need to do is make some really good friends in the biotech field!!!
