Looks like most of the vaccination research is for preventative..not theraputic

After poking around the web it looks like there are a good number of vaccines in the works but almost all of them are preventative and aimed solely at women as well. Bummer for us guys that already have it I guess.

evidence has been that when people get
immunized it reduces or completely
eliminates outbreaks.
This is with autologous vaccines in
infected people.
So I don't see why a preventative
vaccine won't help.

10/20/2003 7:52:17 PM -
Well that's good news then...I hope
your're right and that they come out
soon.

10/20/2003 9:24:32 PM -
But wouldn't they say it could be used
both ways if it really could?? I mean
that's a pretty strong advertising
point for their product...I figured
they would mention it. I could be
wrong though, I'm no doctor.

I don't think the vaccine will not work
on guys. It's just that the health
authorities only seem to care about
CERVICAL CANCER and don't give a s***
about the warts. That's why it sounds
like the vaccines are being developed
for women?

10/21/2003 3:41:49 PM - seeker
you need to go to www.rrpwebsite.org
and check out the info on the
successful vaccine research done in the
1930's. I am speculating, but vaccines
work for men and women. Clinical trials
are aimed at women because they are
more likely to die of an hpv infection.

10/21/2003 3:43:39 PM - seeker
so chill out. We will see something
soon, what I wish they would legalize
is custom made vaccines for the general
public. It would cost as much as a new
car but who here wouldn't shell out for
that.

10/21/2003 3:51:06 PM - seeker
http://www.rrpwebsite.org/hpvvac1.htm

here's a link. It's all old news, but
some of the details are intriguing.
PLus it gives names of companies that
are developing these things. rrpwebsite
is probably the best resource on the
web for hpv info. If you look at the
implications of RRP you start to
understand why.

10/21/2003 3:54:32 PM - seeker
btw, they wouldn't advertise something
they aren't testing for, that's bad
science. We'll have to see what comes
out. There a lot of unknown uses for a
lot of drugs that come out from time to
time. Check out the treatments section
on rrpwebsite for some interesting info
on new uses for the MMR vaccine.
Try to stay positive.

10/21/2003 3:55:07 PM - seeker
at least it's not herpes, that shit is
really hard to get rid of!!!

10/21/2003 6:10:14 PM -
TI have read about the RRP
before...that is truly bad to have and
I'm grateful I have nothing worse.
Thanks for the links, seeker. I'm
just skeptical when I read stuff and
hate to get my hopes up or others when
things are still uncertain.

10/21/2003 6:12:14 PM -
That MMR stuff...well seems kinda
iffy...they don't know jack about it
and it only works on like half the
people. The vaccines look promising
but I can't tell if they will include
the fixes for all HPV types or only
the few that cause RRP and cervical
cancer. Again, not to be a pessimist
just don't want high hopes dash. But
thanks seeker that was a good link.

10/21/2003 6:29:32 PM -
Actually this article on oral zinc
sulfate looks promising with a high
success rate:

http://www.angelfire.com/wa/thestrangest
/wart.html

here is some more stuff I've turned up
people.

If ANYONE lives in Puerto Rico and can
get in touch with the doctor who did
this study, let the world know, we'll
beat a f-in path to his door. I would
pay a shitload to feel better about
life. Autogenous vaccines are really
promising because they treat cases
individually...

10/21/2003 10:27:30 PM - seeker
I've been trying zinc, but
zinc "CITRATE". I haven't had any
results yet. I'm gonna try to track
down "SULPHATE", I'm not a chemist so I
don't know what the dif is.

Yeah that MMR shit is wierd. It's still
all hope inducing tho. Seems the HPV
virus isn't invincible. Just need
better doctors. : P
It's the worst in Canada (where I am)
because the docs I've seen don't even
know a test for HPV types exists!!!!
I may have to see a gynecologist (I'm a
man, dammit!)!!!

10/21/2003 10:31:13 PM - seeker
really running my mouth here...
http://www.sfbmc.org/hpv.html
someone try this out... I haven't tried
it yet 'cause I'm using some chinese
medicine (tastes like crap) but it's
next on my list.
BTW you may note that Beta-mannan gets
some credit from rrpwebsite. So if
anyone has $300 US to burn check it out
and let us know...

As you can see I've been doing some
homework. : P

Good luck.

10/21/2003 11:53:24 PM -
Hey Seeker, good stuff man. I may be
a pessimist at heart but I enjoy
reading this stuff caues it means
people are thinking about it at
least. If I come across anything I'll
definitely post it here...it's good
debating and trading info...keeps us
all informed if anything.

10/26/2003 3:04:12 AM - bewildered
If you freeze them off and use the
Adlara cream as reccomended. Can't most
people beat the visible wart game? and
percentage wise how many see relapses
after treatment?

10/26/2003 3:06:30 AM - bewidered
Do they just keep poping up all the
time? I had warts on my hands and
fingers once. I had them froze and that
was that. How many people out there
can't beat there warts?

10/27/2003 11:52:52 AM -
bewildered, the percentage of
recurrences wiht Aldara is lower than
any other treatment although I forget
the exact percentages. I don't think
it's hard to beat the visible wart game
once your immune system gets in gear
but I'm still undecided on whether the
virus is just hidden forever after that
or it's actually gone from your system
since your immune system got to it.
