I NEED ADVICE!!!!!!

I have been dating my boyfriend for over a year and a half. Over six months ago I was diagnosed with having High Risk HPV. I went to the DR two weeks ago for a colposcopy and biopsies. My DR asked if I ever had warts before and I said no. She then did the colposcopy and biopsies. There were three areas that were of concern to her when she did the vinegar test. I still have not gotten my results back, hopefully this week. This weekend, however, I was scared to death when my boyfriend showed me a small bump on the head of his penis that he said he found two weeks ago. From what I understand, high-risk types are mainly associated with cervical cancers rather than visible genital warts. Am I wrong? Does this mean that I did give my boyfriend genital warts? I have heard that if a female has cervical warts then a male is not likely to get them because he does not have a cervix. Sounds reasonable

Please try and relax. It sounds like
you guys have HPV. Good news is you
caught it in time before it turns into
something serious. You probably gave
it to your boyfriend OR vice versa.
This is not a life stopper, so if you
guys both get on it quick, it'll be
over that much quicker. Best of luck!

I think Craig is right. He could have
given it to you too so forget about who
had it first. Nobody will ever know
for certain. Good luck with your
relationship.

ya i think i did catch it early and i
am not concerned of who gave it to who
just upset which is natural. i just
need advice on that bump he got two
weeks ago. its probably a wart huh? i
thought high risk isnt associated with
external warts? and can cervical warts
be transmitted to the penis of a male?

He needs to go get that checked out.
That is the only way you both are
going to know for sure. And who
knows...It may spread. As for your
concern, it is possible for you to
have both types of HPV. They cancer
type and the wart type. You need to
aske your doctor about that one.
Bottom line...HE needs to get that
checked out and YOU need to talk to
your doctor about that. Best of luck
to you both.

of course cervical hpv can be
transmitted to men... How do you think
women get it? Lesbians aren't the only
ones with cervical HPV! : P

if i think that is a wart on his penis
do you think it is necessary to go to
the doctor...can't i just have him
start something like tea tree oil? and
how to women with cervical hpv use tea
tree oil or cant they?

If you research the HPV virus you will
find that there are several types of
it. Only two kinds are known to cause
visible warts and a few are linked to
cervical cancer in women. You can
have more than one type which can you
to have both visible warts and a type
causing an abnormal papsmear. However
only the CDC in Atlanta,Georgia can do
a DNA test to tell which strain you
have.Visible warts do not cause cancer
only the ones you cant see are cancer
causing.

Tough to say, what I've read is that it
depends on your immune response to the
virus.

I was exposed to a variety that
afftects the cervix (don't know what
type) and it's showing tiny bumps which
cannot be really called warts per se. I
don't think we can definitively say
that the viruses will ALWAYS cause
certain symptoms, but we can say there
are strong correlations between certain
symptoms and certain types of HPV.

I want to believe that since I can see
symptoms then I've got a benign strain,
but I would rather find out which it is
before I discuss it with any future
partners simply because I want to have
all the facts straight.

BTW, there was a study published in the
past year that graded a lot of HPV
types depending on their risk of
cancer, I wanted to post it here but
it's too huge. The link I had is dead
too. But "seek" and you shall find.
