Four long years

wow the day i found out i had hpv i was devastated, i was in a commited relationship for a year at the time to my now wife. Trying to do the right thing we got checked for HIV so we could start having unproteceted sex will she was on birth control and never having any other symptoms of anything else there wasnt much to worry about at the time. After a really stressful time i developed a wart around the same time i was developing skin tags so i didnt think much of it. After a couple months my wife talked me into going to the doctors to have it checked out discovering it was hpv. Naturally she got checked and tested showing nothing. This really sucked because now my wife thinks i cheated on her and im thinking the same until the doctors mention it can lay dorment in your body for years. so i start getting treatment: freezing(painful), Aldara(takes to long) so i settled on condylox and it worked but i still had reacurring problems. so i started back with aldera for the last 8 weeks and it seems to be affecting the area just not getting rid of them as quickly. So i go online and start checking out the products and theres alot that give hope to a speedy fix, the first im going to try is the OXI-med hopefully it will work but in the mean time im going to stick with aldara. i read that someone puts aldara on twice a day for two weeks, my directions say once every other day for 8-10 hours. so if this works i'll get back and let everyone know and if anyone has any experience with really tough to get rid of warts your advice would be greatly appreciated.

i think you should let your wife read
hpv101. that way she'll know the true
about it...that the virus lies dormant
& it's impossible to know who gave it
to you. good luck w/ the wife.

I recommend acid treatment. It's very
effective and not too expensive. You
may not be able to do it after using
aldara though. Talk to a doc about it.

It must have been the stress. I
started getting skin tags and very tiny
warts on my neck when I started working
and got stressed out. Then years and
years later when I got even more
stressed out I got genital warts. I'm
going into early retirement and hope
this will help my immune system do
something about HPV in various areas of
my body.

To clarify the above comment HPV refers
to any virus that causes warts in any
part of your body. However the kind
that appears in your genitals is not
the same strain as the kind that you
get on other parts of your body.

For the Aldara, follow the
directions...twice a day for two weeks
is not right at all...that person is
gonna be red and swollen in about a
month beyond belief. Trust me, stick
to the recommended dosage.

Twice a day???? OUCH! I really liked
the Aldara--well I didn't like any of
it, but since I had no choice in the
matter :)! Yes, it took awhile...but
it was easy to use, I didn't need to go
to an office every week. And it worked
well. I am really reluctant to try the
online stuff. I have read info in
herbal books...I say stick with what
your doc recommends.

thought he cheated on me & now I'm sure
he didn't & theres no chance to get
back with him & i'm to scared 2 be w/
anyone else. Someone please help... I'm
Lost on an endless maze!
