I've had a number of outbreaks. Every time it starts out with one wart and the numbers increase while I'm treating them with podophyllin, but they have all disappeared within 4 days of treatment.

I've been using the oxi-med stuff and now tea tree oil...I think the tea tree oil might have made mine worse but I'm not totally sure. This is only my first outbreak and I don't go to the dr. till next week. I'll let you know if I find out any info or you can e-mail me kookybee22@yahoo.com :O)

if your outbreak gets bad, don't worry, it's normal it is an immuno response by your body. stay consistent with your treatment and they WILL go away. Careful not to over irritate your skin in the process

I've only had one outbreak, and I believe it lasted for a couple of months. I got treatment about 3 weeks after I first noticed the warts. I didn't have a lot of them. I had two small groups of warts on both sides of my vaginal opening and a about 5 that were scattered around. Aldara might work for you, but you should really ask a doctor.

Basically any time you tamper with a virus, the virus tries to fight it and could rapidly progress. Think about it, anyone messes with you you come back with 30 of your closest friends :). No, seriously, that was my experience with TCA...I actually missed a treatment and the virus snowballed. It was a nightmare. That's why it's VERY IMPORTANT to follow up with all of your appointments and treatments, etc. oops-- ran out of space, I'll finish in another one...

Where was I before I ran out of space? Oh, as for Aldara, I just remember that it took awhile and then once they started going away they went away fast. My doc said this Tx is good for people with alot of warts. I found it to be great. You really should ask your doc. or a doc. Try Planned Parenthood. Good luck to you!!

Aldera was OK for me...I just kept having them pop up. The pop-ups seem to have somewhat subsided and I am going on for weekly acid treatments. I've been going back and forth for about 7 mos now in terms of treatments. Its always been pretty small warts here and there.
