I had read that. And my doctor mentioned it. It's important though to do your own research and base your opinions on your findings. Just as many docs say this is true as say that it's not. How long an outbreak lasts depends entirely on the person. Mine was in treatment for 3 or 4 months. And i'ts been silent for a couple of years. You really have to stay as healthy as possible. Hope this helps :) good luck.

It took me about 2 months to heal, and I haven't had another outbreak since that (last summer). I don't know if your immune system can get rid of it that quickly; I'd think not.

But it's sooo hard to stay healthy. I have so many bad habits, it's tough!

Well do your best. Frankly the threat of warts growing on my vagina are enough to gross me out to force good habits on me!!

No warts anywhere on your body are not like chicken pox. Because they grow on the top layer of your skin, your immune system can't detect them very well. So though some people seem to clear themselves of it, some never do (like me) and I've hit 40. And with people who clear it they may come again...unlike chicken pox.
