I found out i have hpv & genital warts a few days ago. What I'm wondering is, when you have this and are not showing signs does your pap smear still come up abnormal? (I do have internal warts, but was confused whether the pap smear is abnormal even if dormant or no signs of warts)
Also, I know shaving isn't a great idea, but if the warts are internal, on vaginal wall, is it possible for them to spread? I do usually shave everything down there. would it be a horrible idea to attempt??
When warts are on vaginal wall, what treatments do you use to remove them??
My boyfriend shows no signs at all, I'm pretty positive that is where I got it from and I think he may have had it for awhile now. Would it be safe for me to give him oral sex if there are no warts?
Will a partner get this 100% if having unprotected sex?
Thank you so much, if anyone replies to me. I'm a nervous wreck about the whole thing. It's really hard to accept and I'm having trouble believing the statistics of this virus. Not only that I'm confused about so much even after reading everything i can find on the net.

I believe the pap only comes up abnormal if you have dysplasia. Pretty rare from what I have read. If you only have warts inside, I don't think shaving will spread them, start waxing if you want to be sure. I shave once a week just cuz I can't stand it. I would think it would be ok for oral, it is rare to impossible to spread genital warts to the mouth, so I've read. Many of us are still confused sometimes too! Hope this helps.

I haven't had warts for a while now, and I have had several abnormal paps. I haven't been diagnosed with dysplasia, and I have only had one outbreak. I don't think your internal warts will speard if you shave. Just be aware of any new warts that might form externally. I've never had a problem with giving oral with an infected partner. Some say HPV goes through condoms, some don't. If you're sure u got it from him, then do it...if you are both comfortable with that.

Im just like Maggie. I was giving my infected partner oral sex. But neither of us has experienced warts as of yet. I do not have dysplasia but I have experienced 3 abnormal paps. 2 of which said Low grade changes with human papilloma virus effects present. But it will be a good idea to hold off on sex and think. Don't make the wrong choice because choices effect us more then the actually virus.
