If anyone knows how devestating this disease can be, its me. I was first diagnosed with this about 3 years ago, and i wasnt totally shattered, i didnt have any symptoms, and i contracted it from my bf, who didnt know he had it until my pap came back irregular and was tested for hpv. Everything was fine for a while and then i got pregnant, although i was overjoyed about the pregnancy what came with it, was a very very bad wart outbreak, i was completely covered. I was ashamed and humiliated, the only person who knows about it is my boyfriend and hes very supportive, but i would never let him see exactly what was going on in my nether regions. i was even completely draped during the birth of our son, so he didnt get to see him coming out of me, i know he really wanted to watch, but he knew i didnt want him to see me like that. so he agreed. Well, my child is 14 months old now, and my situation remains the same, although it did get somewhat better, its still a big mess. I dont have health insurance and cant afford the expensive treatments, i did recently quit smoking, and started taking vitamins, and even ordered a product online that hopefully will work, but im not getting myself too excited. @ minutes cant go by without me thinking about my gw's, although i am still sexually active with my bf, its still not as fun as it used to be, the lights have to be completely turned out, and i cover myself with a blanket so he cant see. i dont feel sexy anymore and i want to go back to our old sex life but i cant until this gets taken care of. but i cant wait for the day. Well i just thought id share my story to let those of you who feel the same as i do know that your not alone.

I think you should hold off on sex, til
you get treated for the GW. Do you have
a clinic in your area. I don't have
insurance either but the clinic I go
to, go by a sliding scale, meaning how
much a person earns. I'm in the same
boat but nothing as bad as you case.
I'm planning to go for lazer surgery
for my GW. I would contact you local
health clinic to see what your options
are.

Take care

You are so stupid hpv is a virus no a
disease. Also the @ symbol means
at, not and. You sound so ignorant!
And whats with the sheet, after
contracting hpv did you become an
orthodox jew hole in the sheet.

I really dont think Phil should be
posting any comments on this site.
First of all, who are you to judge? And
the only person who sounds ignorant is
you. Who the hell do you think you are?
So I think you should do us all a favor
and get lost, ya prick!

Reds, dont let rude people keep you
down, Phil obviously doesnt know what
hes talking about. Ignore people like
that. Good luck with your treatments. I
understand exactly how you feel.

12/10/2003 10:45:19 PM - YeahRight
Phil"HPV is a virus no a disease".
Who sounds ignorant? You don't strike
me as a member of MENSA. Why are you
here, to make other people feel bad
about themselves? You are missing a
few commas in your statement and you
shouldn't start a sentence with a
conjuction. Oh, and questions should
be terminated with a questions
mark...and Orthodox Jew is
Capitalized. Get a grip, Einstein.

I wish you the best of luck with the
medication you are about to try. I
work in a clinic and I recently had a
nurse look at my bumps to see what they
are. She said that they are not virus
warts, butI am still afraid. I am
going to another nearby clinic to get a
complete set of test done. If there is
a clinic in your area please go there.
They maybe able to offer you the
medicines you need at little or no
cost. I will pray for you. Stay
encouraged.
