Listen, you've got to do what's best
for you. It's very sad and scary to me
that so many people on this site are
terrified that their parents will find
out. You might be surprised if you tell
them: they might HELP you. Neglecting
your HPV won't solve the problem. You
owe it to yourself to see a
gynecologist or urologist asap. Go now!

Maggie is correct. Also, be a little
more specific as to where you are
located that way people on this site
can help you. Can you get to a
clinic? See, we don't know too much
about your situation so people on here
can only give you limited general
advice.

You know I was scared to tell my mom.
She's actually a sex ed teacher so I
didn't want her to think the worst of
me but since I told her she has been
very supportive. I tried to hide it too
but I knew I couldn't afford the tests
and medication with out her help. If
you want to talk more just e-mail me

I told my Mom about it and I don't
think she even has any idea it is an
std. All she asked was what treatment
there is and hasn't asked about it
since.

ok you dont need to tell your mom
about it since what ever happens in
the doctor's office is confidential.
i hope that you go the doctor and get
some help. good luck!

Im not 100% sure- but I have a hunch
that it will not show up on her
insurance. You just tell your mama.
Because if you can't talk to her-then
who else can you talk too. She is your
inner-strength. Once she knows I
guarantee you will feel alright. The
same thing happened with me. I know.
She won't bash you she will eventu. get
over it.

I know your dilema. I'm going through
the same thing. U can't just say go to
the clinic for ur own good and stuff
like that. In a small area where
everyone knows each other where the
doctor may even personally know ur
parents, friends, just can't trust
anyone not to leak info out. Best thing
is get advice from websites on what
medication u could use that u can buy
of the self.

Mimita - While I understand the
pressures of small town life might be
tough, we're talking about health here,
which should be more important! Also,
you need to have PRIDE in yourself, not
be ashamed, just tell people who lookd
down on you that you';re doing the best
to take care of yourself for the future.
