Does vinegar always turn them white?

I had my one and only wart burnt off a few months ago. A couple of weeks later it appeared to have grown back so I started using Aldara. To see if there were any other warts lurking around I put vinegar around the area, and no white dots appeared NOR did the existing wart turn white. Could this mean it's not actually a wart but perhaps some kind of 'scar' from burning the original wart off? It does look like a wart, so why wouldn't it turn white?

The vinegar test is not a foolproof
test. Sometimes things turn white that
aren't actual warts and sometimes
things that are warts dont' turn
white. It's not really an accurate
test.

When I found out that I had Genital
Warts I was Devastated!! I was so
upset and I immediately called my
boyfriend. I made him pull his pants
down and I poured vinegar all over his
penis! Nothing turned white, but there
was a wart and he was the one who
transmitted it to me. It's funny how I
thought it was the end of the world
back then. It has now been 4 years,
and we are still together and have a
beautiful son.
