cwissy grrrrrrllll you have got to quit smoking! If your warts wont do it for ya, do it for your heart (check out glamour and cosmo this month!) smoking is really bad for the immune system in general and you will notice such a difference when you hop on the treadmill or whatever you do for exercise! I have never been a big smoker except for when i am TRASHED, and i have given up that too and i just feel better all around.

bars, smoke, smoking, alcohol arent good for your immune system. You only get one body, so treat it good!

I was told that (if you are a female) that smoking will increase your risk of cervical cancer, ESPECIALLY if you have HPV, because you are already at a high risk. Quit smoking for your overall health, and make sure to get your paps every year.(Dont we all love those dr visits)

HEy Cwissy, it might not stink to you, but try quitting for a few weeks, then kiss someone after they've been smoking all day. Even after they've brushed their teeth, chewed gum etccc you'll prob still taste the fowl smoke residue in their mouth.

Portual, I'm starting the patch. I think it's better then going cold turkey. There's also a medication (some what of a anit-depressent)that helps you stop also. I'd rather use the patch, if not I will see my Dr. about the medication.
Best of luck!

I think that the Commit losenges work the best, but you really need not to hang out with anyone who smokes, it will help a bunch.

Thanks Blondee, I being a real bitch today. Everyones getting on my nerves! !!. I received a ph# call from one of our long time insureds, which I get along with very well. Anyway, he called to find out why is renewal, went up by $1500.00. I explained, " well you had two accidents, count them two accidents within the last year and you also added a luxury vehicle to your policy, so why are you questioning your renewal rate!?!?"

(COND) Anyway, to make a long stupid story short. The insured contacted my head supervisor and yeah I got in trouble. I had to call the insured to apologize and I also and to send a formal letter of apologie to the cust, in writting. Yep, thats how my day has been so far. I wish I never started smoking.!!!!

oh baby i am sorry! cant stand stupid people! and you are welcome to vent. This is a support group, and we are "friends" i am here for you girl! Just take it one day at a time. From what i hear the first week is the hardest. Someone posted once that it takes 21days to make a change, and i believe that. Once you realize how much better you feel, how much fresher everything smells it will get easier. If you were one of my friends i hang with i would buy

you a bag of tootsie pops. i think it helps to suck on something since smoking is not just the nicotine but an oral fixation. it sucks when people are stupid and annoying. you are trying to quit smoking and have warts its like you want to wear a sign that says be nice to me becuz i cant deal with another stressor in my life!

i have high Bp and have had it for almost 2yrs now, and i HATE being on medication, and as we know with warts, medication only takes you so far, its 80% mental..i have to breath in close my eyes and just try to realize that there so many worse things to stress about... i dunno maybe that will help with smoking... just try to stay cool and breathe...

You are so sweet Blondee. Thank you so much for your support. I really needed that. Yes, I know what you mean about oral fixation, thats why I've had a tongue ring for so long, but the way I'm feeling now, I want to yank the bitch out! I'm also worried about putting weight on. Most people I know told me they gained like 10-20lbs from quiting smoking. I guess they were using food as a comfort, instead of nicotine.

(COND) Watch, soon I'll be wart free but with a couple pounds of cream cheese, butter, bagels, etc... added to my ass. Then I'm gonna need the diet patch. LOL!
I'm going to bed. Instead of counting sheep, I'm going to count cigs. :)
What a dirty habit I have :(

Get the nastiest tasting cigarettes you can find.Misty's work wonders.Only take as many puffs as you "feel you need". Snuff it out and smoke that same cigarette the next time. You can buy smoke free cigarettes (believe it or not) I saw them in a grocery store before. Call around and ask.Or you can chew the candy kind they taste worlds better!

I was also diagnosed with HPV about 5 months ago and I was also a smoker. I began a running program and quit smoking 49 days ago cold turkey. All I needed to know was that the habit that I had for so many years was finally taking a toll on my health. I want this disease to go away and it won't do that if I continue smoking. You can stop as soon as you realize how it has destroyed your body.

Thankyou CC. You can fight this!! You did the right thing. The doctor told me that smoking is THE WORST thing you can do for HPV.It causes most of the outbreaks.P.S.SMOKING MEANS ANY KIND OF PUFFING OF SMOKE O.K.?
