I believe there is a question about catching warts from tanning beds here. FYI- tanning is bad for the skin and can weaken your immune system. If you cover up down there YOU are fine. Warts are spread by skin cells sheading. The virus dies after being outside th body, it needs ahost. The salon SHOULD wipe down the beds before a new customer, and tehrefore all your cells would be gone. IF you could

catch it or spread it to tanning beds, then you could on toilet seats, and all my friends and family would have them which is not the case. If you are concerned use a stand up stall :-) Hey keep your chin up and try to avoid the winter blues... spring is only 2 months away!!!!

I Would think that all that high intensity UV light and heat would be a hard environment for a virus to survive in outside of the body. You might invest in a few full spectrum fluorescent lamps. Walmart sells them for about $7 each. This might have a similar effect as the tanning bed however, the UV rays your body craves break down from artificial lighting pretty fast if your more then a few feet away.

If you insist on using a taning bed, just wipe it down with a lysol disinfecting wipe or something..

The tanning salon has a disinfecting spray that is used befor and after you tan. If they don't have it ask and always use it. If you could give it to others by tanning think of what all you could have. At a big salon 20 people use one bed every day if not more. just tan away.
