DON't SHAVE...trim if you must but don't shave..that will make it much worse. Furthermore, if the soreness gets too unbearable you can take a few days off or whatever too let the skin heal somewhat. I think someone here also recommended vitamin E capsules to sooth as well.

Mort The Worry Wart
Yeah, the Vitamin E really helps after you've washed off the aldara in the morning. Apply it on the other days as well. While applying the aldara, be sure to only spread a very light layer. All it takes is a light layer. You don't have to use the entire packet either. I've been able to use one packet per week. It'll save your skin and your wallet:)

I have been using aldara too, but the packets are small and it is recomended that you should use one small packet only once. They do not recommended to use one packet once you open.(sorry for my english).

Yeah the packets are small but I just use it again anyway. Seems to have the same effect regardless.

i use a pkt a time becuz i have/had warts everywhere... lotta skin to cover! when you wash it off use cetaphil, its a gentle cleanser. dont wear thongs, dont shave, and when you get home from work where a nite gown or baggy shorts w/o undies. it will air it out and stuff wont rub. sleep in just a tee shirt. any material rubbing will irritate the area. also pat after you pee, dont wipe. OUCH. also drink lots of water to dilute the urine so it doesnt burn.

if you are desperate to remove the hair, nair has a removal for the bikini line, or you can wax. i would just wait till they were gone to worry about getting rid of the hair. its not like anyone is going to be looking at your pussy anytime soon.

I do not appreciate that comment Blondee. I am still in a relationship, and I do like to still practice what I consider to be good personal hygiene. Most of my warts are in the perianal area and are not on the rest of my pubic region. I do not appreciate your comment about looking at my "pussy anytime soon"!!!!!!

i apologize if i was offensive. Sex spreads warts anyway so i wouldnt have sex until they were gone if i were you. I wouldnt shave either. Sex and your pubic hair should be the least of your concerns. Get rid of the warts, then worry about the other stuff.

Honestly it was a little rude, lets not be too out of control around here. I still shave I have warts in the perianal area and i just trim there since its not really all that out of control, i also still do continue to have sex my partner knows and is okay with it, it helps get rid of the stress so why not!

i apologized for my use of the word "pussy" if it offended you. If you read the rest of it tho, its a bunch of tips. Also sex and aldara dont mix. Aldara makes the skin dry and raw, sex will only irritate it further. read the aldara inserts. (yes there are two)

You know what's rude, someone trys to help you and you bite their hand. Go find help somewhere else if people here are "rude", you jackass. If you can't overlook one harsh word in all the help that person provides then it is YOU who are rude.

Wow...looks like I'm going to have to agree with the above poster. I hate to beat a dead horse but if you want help then don't complain in the form it comes in.

I was just offended by the original comment. It's not like I use Aldara, and have intercourse while, it's on the skin , I am not a complete idiot. I came to this website, with hopes to find support. I did for a short while. I am just sick of the harsh remarks. This will most likely be my last post ever, my warts are almost completely gone, so now my concern is staying healthy and free of future reoccurances. Good luck to anyone else seeking advice here.

I went out last night while I had my Aldara on, and I had sex with several people, and I am not experiencing any irritation at all. So what is the big deal? The only problem is that after the act, you'll need to apply more Aldara, because it rubs off, especially if you don't use a condom, which I don't because it doesn't feel as good

Go to the doctor girl! Or planned parenthood or a clinic. Bad smell could be a bacteria or yeast infection. Bumps could just be normal or could be warts. The only way you will know if you go to a dr.
