HOW ARE WARTS TREATED?
In 10-30% of people, visible warts will disappear without any treatment at all within three months. In almost all others they will go away within a couple of years. But because most people do not like the appearance of genital warts, many would prefer to have them treated. Treatment may also reduce the risk of spreading the infection to others. Visible warts can be treated in various ways - with chemical irritants, by freezing, electric current or laser, or by using a special cream that improves the immune system's response to the virus.
It is important to remember that no method is completely effective. Treatment removes the physical signs of the virus, but it may take up to two years for the virus to be completely removed from the skin cells. For this reason, warts can come back at any time during the first two years after treatment, especially in the first three months. This is even more likely to happen if the skin is irritated or damaged, so it is important to keep the area clean and dry during treatment. It is also possible to infect a sexual partner during this time, even if no warts can be seen on the skin. At present there is no successful treatment for sub-clinical HPV infection.

Sorry
HPV is a VIRUS that never leaves your body. That is why we are all told there isn't a cure only treatment. 65% reaccurance in those who are treated by freezing, snipping,or burning.15% reaccurance in those who ALSO used ALDARA.I read this in an article in US NEWS. Very up to date and informative.

infected
I left my warts alone for awhile after getting them I had no insurance and I was still getting over all the emotions that go along with finding out.I had a few acid treatments and did not go back for awhile. They spread and grew like crazy .I had to have them cut off and it was very painful.I would suggest that you get them treated as soon as possible and go back every time you get a new one. That way it will keep them to a minimum and they can be treated faster.
