Up to now, no medicine can cure hpv inflection. You can still inflect someone even no warts existing. Therefore, you should seriously consider what you would done!

Guys don't show any symptoms of high risk hpv and usually nothing happens to them (lucky bastards) but I would say if it really bothers you not telling him then... tell him, but personally I don't know if I would.

If he is your friend then he will understand. If it means losing a friend to clear your conscience then he wasn't your friend in the first place. It happened before you knew about it. He may want to know so that he isn't surprised when some girl comes to him and says "you gave me hpv". In the long run he may realize you did a good thing by telling him and he can get tested to find out if he even contracted it.

A real friend will understand and eventually forgive you for any mistake. It is because of so much "hush hush" that so many people have contracted hpv. Real friends don't keep important things from each other.
