Confused, Cofused??

Before I had sex with the girl I knew I was going to marry, I went to get tested for STD's. All the test came back negative. I was comfortable when my girlfriend & I started having sex. We were engaged, then a month before our wedding it hit the fan. My fiance told me she has HPV and was being treated for genital warts. She had only 1 sexual partner in the past and was convinced I was the cause. I have never had a wart in my genital area in my life, could this be "subclinical" HPV? Since she has genital warts & I have never had warts is there a good chance that this is a "low risk" HPV? Her pap has came back abnormal which is sometimes common? This has been the most devistating experience in my life and I've been informed that there'll be no sex on this honeymoon.

Depending on when she had sex with her
previous partner, it is very possible
that you gave it to her, or him. If it
was you than it is definatly
subclinical, and you probably won't
get the warts. If it is warts than it
is low risk and the pap could very
well be abnormal for other reasons.
You could still have sex for the
special occasion, just use a condom to
prevent spreading.

I disagree by just using a condom. HPV
is a virus that is caused by skin
contact. If the warts are in another
area other than the penis and vagina -
guess what? You're very suseptible to
getting the virus and possibly warts.
How about if you postphone the wedding
until this problem is cleared up?

What I meant by the warts being in
another area is: Mine started in the
hairy region above the penis. Do you
really think a condom would prevent
them from spreading to another person?

Obviously he is immune, and probably
won't get the warts regardless of
using a condom or not. In order to
stop the spreading on her, use a
condom; for the exact reason that
warts are spread from skin to skin
contact. Sorry I didn't elaborate. Get
married have fun, and don't point
fingers because it won't get you (or
her) anywhere.

Thanks for the input. Although I
haven't had warts, I have had a lot of
itching & discomfort. Is this common,
will my wife have the same discomfort?
