my boyfriend has had the virus for two years now. he has had only one breakout in the beginning and has not had one since (its been about 1 1/2 years now). we have not had sex yet. if he does not have any gential warts, and we have sex and he wears a condom, am i still at risk of getting the virus?

Yes - and worse yet, the Bible says those who sleep around will end up in the lake of fire forever! Follow CHRIST not the devil, don't play with sin, demons, satan, and hell. May GOD in CHRIST bless you as you follow HIM!

yes, you are still at risk, but your risk is lower then if he has had several outbreaks in the past year and a half. If you love this guy, and you see a future with him, then you should take the risk. Just take all the precautions you can. Be safe!!

Do condoms completly cover the genital area? No. Therefore, yes, there is a definite risk - don't get lulled into a false sense of security, thinking he's 'cured', because there is still too much debate on this issue. My advice: consider how having HPV would affect your life, particularly if you broke up with your boyfriend and stood the chance of passing it onto future partners.

There's a risk that you could walk outside and get hit by a bus. Will that prevent you from walking outside and seeing the light of day.If you feel he's worth it and will stick around even when you have the warts than go for it. If it's just about sex than probably not a good idea.
