When you are diagnosed with one std it
is not uncommon to be more suseptable
to other std's You need to get both
you and your partner tested for herpes
via blood test. It is also a good idea
for both of you to go on supressive
therapy to cut down on outbreaks. I
say start using a condom with this guy
for sure. You dont want anthing else
to come down the pike

I was diagnosed with hpv in Feb 02 and
herpes May 04...got both from the same
guy i was dating for 2 years. He had
never had a herpes outbreak...don't
know where it came from.

Have the two have you gone in for a
herpes blood test? He probably had
some irritation at some point and
dismissed it as jock itch or
something. Herpes symptoms can be very
subtle. BOTH of you need to go in for
a full STD work up and like i said use
condoms with this guy.
