If they are not responding to treatment you need a biopsy. If they are indeed warts a you may opt for laser surgery.

above poster is correct, it would be best to get them biopsied. it could be that they have developed into dysplasia (precancerous cells) in which case the treatments wouldnt work. one thing though, i would opt for cutting instead of laser b/c if they cut them off, they can send to pathology and see if they got it all. with laser, the tissue is destroyed, no way to tell if they get clear margins. hope this helps.

First of all, the first two options you tried are largely ineffective. Freezing, however is quite effective, you should monitor the areas you froze to see if those warts return, if they don't then you know the freezing is working. Best of luck getting rid of them, they can be a pain to get rid of.

john, didnt you read. she said she hav has had freezing done 3 times in the past nine weeks and they are still there. freezing ISNT working. and you should check the recurrance rate on freezing, its very high.

to the original poster
Are you still sexually active while getting treatment? That will make them spread...your partner has active virus and that could be another possiblility

When you freeze a wart, you have to wait at least a month to see if it was destroyed or not, if not it will grow back, so saying you are freezing 3 times in 9 weeks...it will be confusing to see if the freezing is working or not. The warts the poster as seem to be an extreme case, so regular rules might not apply.

john, freezing warts does NOT mean they dont come back though. "Recurrence rates after cryotherapy range from 10% to 40%." http://www.womenshealthlondon.org.uk/lea flets/hpvwarts/hpvtreat.html if you want more sites that say this, i can find them as well.

I had a few more following freezing, and nuked those suckers with Compound W (planters wart chemical). Painfull, but I'm 15 months "clear" or whatever.

I think freezing made it was worse. It's out of control now! I'm going to ask the doctor to biopsy today at my appt and ask about laser because this is too much. I'm not gonna go on like this any longer and until I find a doctor that will laser I'm not willing to accept anymore half assed treatments.

To the poster who says freezing a wart does not mean they won't come back, that is complete rubbish. The reason they come back is because the freezing is not deep enough. I had about 10-15 frozen and only 1-2 came back. Freezing the wart kills it, but the person doing the freezing needs to be thorough.

john, you are a fucking moron. i'm sorry to tell you that, but its true, you are. even the medical community knows freezing warts doesnt mean they dont come back, since they do in 10-40% of cases, 40%, man thats almost half! warts can come back as long as hpv is there, and you cant kill hpv, so get over it.

Harsh! You guys are way too severe...How do you know that John isn't right? You want conrete facts about HPV? THERE AREN'T ANY. Actually I'd say his EVIDENCE of having 10-15 frozen and only 1 or 2 return would prove that If done CORRECTLY the chances of recurrence are low for his type of HPV. Now John, remember that there are over 100 strains of HPV...maybe yours just doesn't like the cold...
