Ladies and Gentlemen:
I received HPV from a young woman I had unprotected sex with (poor judgment on my part). I must admit, since that time it has been 1)embarrassing, 2)sometimes painful and 3)a somewhat expensive ordeal treating and trying to eradicate these warts. So here I am at this website; I thought I'd write some odds and ends. Some pointers maybe: 1)don't be shy to talk to your urologist or ob/gyn or family physician; I have a strong feeling that they deal with HPV cases quite often, just don't let shyness keep you from getting treated; 2)I've had warts removed surgically (excision) right there in the doc's office. (guys - this wasn't too bad; he numbs the area to be treated before excision) and also, the warts he excised never grew back!! It was somewhat funny - I thought the MA (female) who was watching the procedure was going to pass out! ((just remember, be very still when he has that scalpel down there));3)Aldara worked so-so for me (very expensive if you don't have insurance. 4) Condylox gel might be something yu may want to consider. Closing: Remember,,,,,,,,,,,70-90% of adults have it, and when you think about it, there's another disease out there that's a lot worse! Sometimes dealing and thinking about these warts can be depressing, I know, believe me.
But there are a lot more important things in life than to let this get you down. Take care friends.
