I am sitting here reading numerous experiences of people with HPV. I myself have gone through many similar trials. Doubt, frustration, guilt, loneliness are all symptoms of the physical experience of HPV. There is no doubt that it is a difficult experience and much of it is no thanks to the social blame and guilt that is centered on sex. STD's are not a way of being wronged by a god for having sex, it is not something you got because you're an awful person, and it is most certainly not something you got because you choose to explore the physical sensations of another human being. The path to healing is recognizing that when we do not listen, respect our own bodies, we commit ourselves to choices that do not aligned themselves with the body. I was in a casual relationship with someone. I did not listen to what I actually wanted and so ended up in a situation that was neither good for my mental state or my physical state. To those of you going through the pain and discomfort, take it as a time to reflect on your choices. Ask yourself why this situation came about. Dig deep into the reasoning of your choices that led you to the places you are at now. Human beings are not perfect. Learn to see yourself as human, full of choice. Accept that as your being. These are the things that allow us to grow in our experience. I know many of you might be wondering, who the heck I am to pass off such advice? Consider me a person like yourself who is going through the process of healing mentally and physically from this experience. Peace.
