Having it and protecting others- - (10 ) comments.

I have had HPV for over 5 months now. My main concern is how do i protect others from getting it from me through sexual encounter. There is almost no information about protecting others from HPV other then condoms which do not cover other areas that may be infected.

From personal research I have found out that latex dams help provide protection for the surrounding area not covered by a condom. I have heard that there is some protection with non-microwaveable plastic wrap (hard to find, everything is microwaveable), also it seems hard to keep in place and very noisy.

What I am looking into is paint on latex. Does that provide a signifigant enough barrier to protect the surrounding non-condom covered areas? Also would some fancy plastic underwear help, if it had a hole for the penis to fit through?

There should be more information for people who have this infection. If it really does effect 70% of people over their life time why is there not more info about dealing with it?
I hope this helps some people, and gets them to start making comments on sites and getting more information out there.

best of luck to us all.
