Dormant over 20 years?????-Northerncpl - (6 ) comments.

My Wife was diagnosed with HPV. She had a LEAP performed for cervical dysplasia. she had a Pap performed yearly with no abnormal results and has had two children over the 22 years we have been married.The ??? i have is could this have layed dormant for over 20 years? I have had sex with only one other person and only one time and that was 23years ago.I do not want to assume my wife has had an affair BUTT! I have been to my Doctor and i do not show any warts. What should i expect from this virus and how can i protect myself. Sorry for the long post but i am a little upset at this point .Thanks for the help.
