First signs HPV- - (7 ) comments.

I just recently noticed some small flesh colored bumps on the shaft of my penis. I had been screened at the local health department for hiv and herpes etc. The tests came back "All Clear!" and I thought I was good to go. When the bumps didn't go away, I went to a doctor. She took one look and said "looks like a wart to me". She gave no definitive exclamation, but it seemed to me she was sure. I was given the option to get a prescription for a topical cream, but I haven't got it yet. My girlfriend and I have not yet had intercourse, and she hopefully will come back negative. She doesn't want to break up and says "we'll just be careful". I explained to her that careful doesn't guaruntee anything. I want to marry her but I can't bring myself to put her at risk. I'm confused as to what it means to have this virus and how often these warts will resurface. How bad will they get? If I am in a monogomous relationship, why should I have to always worry about passing it on and always use a condom? How can I be sure these are genital warts? If they clear, can I have intercourse withought worry of passing it on?

thanks for the comment. unfortunately I do not have your answers... I have your same questions. I am not sure who gave who the virus. my girlfriend says she won't break up with me...hopefully she doesn't have it... yet I will feel guilty staying with her and giving her my curse if it turns out I do have it.
