anal warts- - (1 ) comments.

around 1st wk of jan of '09, i had unprotected sex w/ stranger. around mid jan, i discovered i had anal warts. tried home/herbal remedies including apple cider vinegar, vicks vapor rub, etc...but warts seem to get bigger & increase in #. went to my primary dr. around mid feb. & said just to wait it out. but warts did not resolve & got even bigger so i made a 2nd appointment w/ primary on late february. the primary refers me to a g.i. doctor but i dont know when ill be seeing the g.i. dr nor the kind of treatment he'll perform. around the same time i made the 2nd appointment w/ the primary, i used salicylic acid on the warts & seem to be effective they would turn white, then brown/black, then would peel off, then a new layer would appear. anyways, my questions are:
1. Should I continue using salicyclic before my appt with my g.i. doctor? I don't even know when the appt. is & what kind of procedure (s)he'll perform to treat the warts. The warts will probably get bigger & the salicylic acid (the label says "do not use for genital warts") seems to be working.
2. Which treatment has the lowest wart recurrence rate?
3. Was it possible that I became symptomatic because my immune system at the time that I had unprotected sex w/ the stranger & when I first noticed the warts was down I had 3 hours of sleep for 1 week straight, got sick w/ the cold/cough which lasted almost a month, started college again full-time, had an almost full-time job. Could I have been ASYMPTOMATIC had my immune system not been down?
fyi. i tested (-) for hiv & other stds as well...
4. What's the chances of getting anorectal cancer with my warts? ( I heard that hpv that cause warts does not cause cancer??)
5. What's the chances of me acquiring fecal incontinence after treating my anal warts?
6. How long do most anorectal warts last (w/o treatment) & what's the recurrence rate (w/ or w/o treatment). I know it varies w/ people but im 23, hiv(-), NOW will ALWAYS have sex w/ condom, eat healthy, take vitamins, exercise, less-stressed, & sleep adequately??

The only way I was able to get rid of
them was laser surgery. I had to have
two treatments also. They will NEVER
go away if you smoke. They attach
themselves to the nicotine and
multiply. Mine returned after the
first surgery .. but then I quit
smoking and had the second surgery and
they never came back. Good luck.
